In the scene just prior to Colonel Davis's phone call to Deputy Director Gordon Cole, we hear him whistling a melodious little tune that sounds like a bird call. Any amateur ornithologists care to weigh in? There's some foreshadowing here.

This melody is Rammstein's "Engel"

I heard "Engel" in the whistle as well. Engel translates to Angel. At the end of Fire Walk With Me, Laura Palmer's presence feels very angel like.
