I only watched the episode once so far, as it comes late night for me during a weekday (Monday), so I need a rewatch tonight.

Am I the only one who missed what the homework doodles mean? The boss seemed very unpleasant with it, but then after a while he was thankful for it. I assumed it kind of shown a scam or fraud, or proof that the co-worker was a liar.

I just couldn't make anything from it, maybe I will on rewatch?

Looks like nonsense but I agree with the OP in that it's probably a scam that was found, possibly involving Tom Sizemore's character considering he looked panicked before Coop went into the office. From watching Lynch for years I don't really expect an explanation though.

My guess is that it wasnt the drawings themselves but where they were on the page.  The same name were on every case file (insurance scam?) so yeah I think Anthony Sinclair is about to come unstuck

Definitely about the placement. He seemed to be pointing to relevant info, trying to communicate.

But I found the drawings a little interesting as well.  They wouldn't be interesting to the boss, but for us, they may be more indication of his consciousness coming back.  Some of them looked kind of like the evolved arm.  Some of them looked to be the chevron pattern of the waiting room....or maybe stairs.  The ladder, could be the ladder he had to climb with the women with no eyes.

But I could be way off base.  For all I  know they were Tibetan symbols that he saw in a dream.

Although it likely will have an explanation, I saw the "homework" as evidence of Coop (slowly) regaining his deductive reasoning skills.

When that ripcord is pulled...

There were clearly lodge pointers in the case files which Dougie drew upon, so I don't think it has anything to do with deduction but more likem instinct.

It just dawned on me: The name Anthony Sinclair. Anthony...Tony... "he's lying". The drawings proved Tony was a liar, that's why he was so anxious before Dougie went into the boss' office.

Like "automatic writing" ( write without planning what will be written, it "just comes through" - tangent, David's excuse original TP for writing in the kissing scene with Madchen 😉 )
Clearly "Dougie" not losing his job is important, perhaps for multiple reasons. "You've given me a lot to think about."

Hey guys! Someone in the FB group pointed out that the first 3-6 seconds of the official TP's trailer contain stairs. These are the 2 best shots I could take:

And this one

I've looked closely at those, too. At first I thought it was the stairway to Laura's room re-shot and heavily "textured"-this sequence is then followed by Coop walking down a hallway with a wall to his right, which could be part of the "Purple Room" sequence rendered in B&W....creepy, dude, very creepy...

Who are the same on every pay-out case that Tony worked on.  For the boss it points to conspiracy... wither it was guidance from beyond, or Cooper's deductive skills returning... or a pure accident.  It gives us a lot to think about. 🙂
