Cardboard safe? Art? What is that thing in Lorraine's office?

I don't know if anyone noticed that in the background on the killing scene. There's so much going on with Ike, Lorraine and her theme song that is easily missed:

We've seen those boxes before....in Part 1 in the "glass box facility"...which also has a circular entrance jutting out of a wall....hmmmmm

Part of a shipping box taped over something- a hole or window.

Yeah but not all shipping boxes are the same. I like how they are the same, though, as the ones in the Glass Box room. Assuming Lorraine works with/for Jeffries (as she was trying to kill Dougie before 2.53 -to prevent Mr. C from staying in our world- but failed and now she got killed by Mr. C's thugs), this would link Jeffries to the Glass Box operation. I find this very interesting.

And by the way, what the hell is it covering in that wall???

Haha, it looks like the worlds worst ever cover for a camera. =)

Oh, nice catch by the way!

I agree, it looks like Lorraine is being watched.

I think it's more likely that Dougie was set up to be killed after the good Coop arrives....we know he was gone for 3 days, with Briggs (who swallowed his wedding ring after it was switched with the owl ring), and with a hooker at the time of the transfer/assassination.....if they wanted Dougie dead before, then why not do it before then? Seems more plausible that it's Mr. C set up to kill the good Dale.

Very similar to the (fancy vintage) wall box in the room with the eyeless woman and the larger glass box with the circular hole. She is definitely being watched. But the feeling when we see a scene with these boxes reminds me of when the director is being watched in Mulholland Drive during the auditions.

My theory is that Dougie was set up to be killed twice:

1) First by Jeffries, who wanted the manufactured trippleganger (lol) to be gone before 2.53. If this had happened, Mr. C wouldn't have had the opportunity to stay in our world. So Lorrraine (who we can guess worked for Jeffries, as per the missing phone call the the "ARGENT 2" message text) sent her thugs to kill him, but they decided to plant a bomb in the car instead of doing good business. She failed miserably.

2) Second by Mr. C. Now that he knows that Dougie swapped for Cooper, it's his time to shine. Just like MIKE warned Cooper "You have been tricked! Now one of you must die" (or something along those lines), Mr. C knows it's go time: If Cooper dies, he gets to live forever in our world. Now, he's in prison and being visited by the FBI so he can't just break out to go and kill Dougie, because he would lose the chance to get his spot in the FBI. Enter Ike "the Spike" Stadler, the thug sent to kill Dougie, and Lorraine out of despite since he can't reach Jeffries.

That's my theory.

But why wouldn't Jeffries have sent for Dougie to be killed before the last minute of his existence? It makes more sense to me that it was Mr. C all along wanting Cooper dead as soon as he took Dougie's place, but then I don't know how he'd have found out in prison that they failed... I guess that's a problem either way. His one phone call so far doesn't seem to be about killing Cooper, but who knows...

Jeffries can't really control what happens in our world, he's not here anymore it seems (apart from that box, whatever it is). Lorraine's thugs went for Dougie the night before he got switched, when Mr. C wasn't around because he was busy plotting his way out of the lodge (getting ready to go to South Dakota to look for Ray I guess, or whatever), so she had green light that no Black Lodge was going to interfere. But the thugs dropped a bomb rather go savage and shoot the shit out of Dougie inside the house.

Mr. C confirms Dougie wasn't killed because after 2.53 he is still here and not back in the lodge (so Dougie was pulled, just like he planned), so he calls and gives that code "the cow jumped over the moon" and we don't know what he was communicated in response to that, or what the hell that means. All we know is the next day Mr. Todd is sending Ike the info to go kill him and Lorraine.

Anyway, just theories.
