Spoiler Alert: Agent Cooper's FBI Pin

I have noticed that Agent Cooper's shoes aren't the only thing missing when he manifests into the real world...he's also missing his FBI lapel pin.  He is wearing it in all of the black lodge scenes but as soon as he lands on the floor in the house for sale, his pin is notably missing.  Scince Agent Cooper appears to only be a shell of himself (no memory/reset/etc.) I'm wondering if the pin is additional proof that he's not "completely" Agent Cooper?!?!

Logistically it would put a wrinkle in the wandering Cooper storyline if he was found with an FBI pin, but like many things with Twin Peaks, I don't know if it's a mystery/clue or if I'm over-analyzing. 🙂

I was curious if anyone else noticed this and/or had any thoughts?

You're right, I didn't catch that the first time through.  Maybe this confirms that the scene/location with the giant is not related to the black lodge...especially since it's in black and white and also Cooper vanishes from the location.  Hmmmm......  🙂

He's also missing the pin in FWWM, when Jeffries says, "Who do you think that is, there?" Not sure if that's an important detail or simply coincidence.

We. Have. Not. Seen. The. Black. Lodge. Yet. Coop is in the waiting room when we see him.

So Steve, where IS he in 3.01 scene 1 with the Giant, according to you?

We are told explicitly it is the Black Lodge in episode 29, when Sarah Palmer gives Major Briggs the message ("I'm in the Black Lodge with Agent Cooper"). I have always assumed the waiting room is simply a part of the Lodge, not its own separate place.

I believe you are going to find this to be an important observation indeed.

ETA - I've just realised this is a back-in-time thread, so don't want to give anything away!
