So far I'm REALLY jazzed about this whole series. The only person that doesn't work AT ALL so far IMO is Michael Cera. What a bore! That whole section where he shows up at the Sheriff's Department is unnecessary me thinks.
You may not personally like the choice of actor, but obviously Lucy's baby made it, and naturally fans want to see how the grown child turned out. The quirk of the character is living his life as though he's a young Brando as played in "the Wild One." And yes the scene was a bit long.
I personally liked the scene! Come on, Cera is the perfect fit as Lucy's and Andy's?!? son. At first when i read that Cera was on the cast of TP, i was like really? how this is gonna work? but i liked it when i watched it!
In my opinion, the whole point of the long boring pretentious speech was to say out loud: the father is Dick Tremayne. Like father like son.
