In episode 3 we see two DoppelDale and DougieDale vomit some substance that looks like corn to me. As we know Garmonbozia (a negative spiritual energy of pain and suffering, or perhaps created from pain and suffering). Both of them comit some bad things. DougieDale cheats his wife so his vomit is small. DoppelDale is realy realy bad guy and he vomits loads of it combined with black and red liquid (like engine oil and blood). When police officer comes to examine crushed car and puts his head inside he instantly becomes sick and needs to be hospilized. When FBI agents (Gordon, Albert and Tamara) come to jail they are told that some kind of poison was found in the car and is in lab now (I'm counting on Albert to analyse it).
Do You think it's Garmonbozia? If yes why do they vomit G before being pulled back to Black Lodge? Wouldn't it be welcome to have some G in BL?

I also thought it was Garmonbozia for pretty much the same reasons i.e. the difference in volume produced by Dougie and Doppel-Dale, the fact that anyone who comes in contact with it becomes sick (I think that was said).

And like you I have exactly the same question.  Why would they vomit up their Garmonbozia before being pulled into the Black Lodge?

I rewatched FWWM this week (I'm desperate for Episode 5!)
Maybe the Garmonbozia is a food stuff for the Lodge itself. Bob pulls the blood from Leland and it hits the Lodge floor.  Next there is a small cut to LMFAP eating creamed corn.  I was always under the assumption that LMFAP asking for all his Garmonbozia, Bob pulling the blood from Leland and LMFAP eating creamed corn were linked but maybe they weren't.

MIKE, when yelling at Leland says "You stole the corn!  I had it canned over the store!  And, miss, the look on her face when it was opened.  There was a stillness.  Like the Formica tabletop.  The thread will be torn, Mr. Palmer.  The thread will be torn!..."
(Thank you DVD subtitles)

Maybe the Lodge residents do really, really like creamed corn!

Lots of maybes there.  I love the thinking and then rethinking and then rethinking again as more clues come to light!

I wonder about that smell. If it smells like "burnt engine oil"

What was Mr C. eating in the diner with Darya et co? The leftovers on the plate, do they look like creamed corn?

I think garmonbozia is what allows the Lodge spirits to go and live among the people. They feed off of humanity's pain and suffering.

Mr. C manufactured Dougie as another Cooper doppelgänger, so that in the case the Black Lodge was calling him back after 25 years, it would also try to suck up the second one. Mr. C. knows to hold his vomit long enough so that unknowing Dougie would eject what makes him human first, and transport to the Red Room instead of him.

Does that make sense?

Am I right in thinking that Dougie pukes up a steak?

From EW interview with DL:

What does the vomit of a Black Lodge demon smell like?

Well, smell isn’t one of the senses cinema gives us, so you have to imagine it. All I’ll say is that it doesn’t smell good.

From TP wiki:

Garmonbozia is negative energy, and has no real physical form: it only appears as creamed corn during visions of the Black Lodge because this is a form humans can comprehend.

I think Dougie was just vomiting. Being essentially a 'human' prop, he cannot harness or hold garmonbozia like a Lodge spirit.

BOB (via Dale) vomiting the garmonbozia is just an effect of his resistance. The Lodge is trying to pull him in, he's fighting it...But it still manages to rip loose some garmonbozia. Action, reaction...

Creamed corn is the physical manifestation on garmonbozia. On the subject I recommend the videos (and not only those about Garmonbozia, the other about TP too) in this YT channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/selphiealmasy8/videos. It's not my channel, but I always found it very insightful.

On part 3-4: yup, both Dougie and Evil Coop vomit seems to be mostly made of corn. There also seems to be some blood and, at least in Evil Coop's case, some black substance. I immediately linked it to the scorched oil that was a mean to open the gate for the Black Lodge (which also had a very strong smell).

Maybe vomiting is just part of admission to be transfered to the other world? Isn't it one of the rituals in some religious, spiritual practices in real world? Some kind of cleansing factor?

Dougie ' s vomits are different than DoppelDale's - less in volume, maybe traces of garmonbozia? And Coop's ones are smelling and poisonous as they're obviously pure evil.

Interesting information on Garmonbozia/corn is in this article - there is lot of interesting reading especially about the scene from the room above the convenience store (from FWWM). The "garmonbozia part" you'll find in the last quarter, marked with the picture of creamed corn in little magician's hands...

After the scenes of Dougie and Mr. C upchucking their garmonbozia, I have a hard time just thinking about creamed corn or garmonbozia without some reflexive gagging.  I never thought myself to have a particularly weak stomach, but that was some academy award winning vommiting.

When I saw the scene in the diner, my first instinct was that he was eating creamed corn.  Now I have to go back and watch it yet again. 🙂

Now that Mr. C has "cleansed" himself of the garmonbozia, he has been acting strangely as well, (as mentioned by many others.) He seems to be fighting to keep it together.
