What Laura told Agent Cooper means a great deal.

This is my first post, on a day which spells the end of at least this chapter of Twin Peaks. Let me first say what a joy it has been to read the posts of a community of such devoted fans, but more importantly, thinkers, in this forum.

After much analysis of the sound file of the Laura/Cooper interchange in the Red Room in Part 2 (and some guessing on my part), I thought it would be interesting to share my findings. (I am on vacation and can't share the file now, but can by Thursday!)

Laura says "whisper". You should know that upon analysis this cut is NOT reversed. I hope that someone else here sees some import in that. It is as if they just cut the word "whisper" in, but forwards. To me this stood out.

Now folks, Laura DOES whisper something in Cooper's ear. And he reacts to it in utter surprise. And I have listened to the sound file approximately 250 times. Believe me.

Furthermore, I am of the opinion (though I can't verify it 100%) that her speech is NOT reversed. (There are reversed sounds superimposed over the speech, along with other low frequency musical tones).  If this is true, this is one of the first times (IMO) that speech hasn't been reversed in the Red Room, besides Agent Cooper's speech himself. To me this is highly significant.

What I believe Laura says (because it is so quiet it is quite difficult) is the following:

"Electric is Carl's house."

"We are not here." (Cooper gasps)

"Listen to the heart."

Now this can lead to various conclusions (of which I hope you will share!!!!) the first of which is this:

1. The New Fat Trout and Carl and the power pole #6 will have great import. Andy was shown the pole by the Fireman, and Carl has always held some intuitive significance, ever since his encounter with Chet Desmond in FWWM.

2. My belief is that Laura is "pulled away" after this encounter because she has broken a rule- perhaps she has spoken of secrets not to be uttered there? Because she has spoken FORWARD, towards the future, and all the other spirits there have spoken REVERSED, towards the past? (Merely conjecture.)

2a. Tree/Dopplegänger after this exchange drives Cooper into non-existence. He speaks FORWARD. Cooper can no longer exist within the Red Room as some sanctity has been profaned.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts as we hurtle towards the end together.

Interesting. Electric Pole #6 was also in FWWM.
