Hi,

Apologies if this has already been said here, but there was a test with a picture of the dead guy at Carrie's place next to some pics of the actor that played the loan shark who met Janey-E in the park. It sure looks like him!

If this is true, the implications are far reaching to say the least. For example, would it be a stretch to assume that Carrie's question to Cooper on her doorstep, 'Did you find him?' could be a reference to finding Dougie who owed money? That said, wouldn't Carrie have seen the likeness to Dougie in Cooper, unless she hadn't met him.

Anyone else seen this? Thoughts?

Took some time out from here. Started a new job, so a little distracted.

I will say, I watched a couple of episodes week before last and they are so rich. I miss that world...

This is an interesting find, Colin (and welcome back. Hope the new job is going well). I agree, if true, this can (should/will) have a definite impact on any meaning we, or I, try to parse from part 18. Gonna hafta let it sit in the back of my brain for a bit. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not sure that is the same guy in part 6 and part 18.

The guy in the park didn't have a hole in the forehead.

Seriously, the dead guy seems to have "attached earlobes" and the guy in the park have "detached or free earlobes" :

I was hoping the dead body would be something else than a total unknown.

But it doesn't seem too conclusive either way.

The differences could result from the slightly different camera angle, the fact the actor is receding and not upright, the make-up, sunlight hitting the eyes etc. The earlobe is unclear and even "mangled" in the dead guy.

Is the dead man listed in the credits? I can't remember, but it might shed some light on the actor at least.

We need to check the credits.  If true, this is something to think about!

No credits for the dead guy at the end of part 18.

FWIW Mark Frost retweeted a post pointing this out. He posts about many things on Twitter but is pretty selective about what he posts about when it comes to Twin Peaks, so if it's not a confirmation it's pretty close.

Nice forensic work Lucas. I'm with you, I always notice earlobes and I think this disproves the theory. (Sadly, I wanted to believe).

Also the brow bone is very different

Can you screenshot Mark Frost post for those of us who don't use Twitter? Thanks!

Well there is some similarity but I can't say for definite.  Remember it is a different universe and so similar people can be in this universe that were in Twin Peaks.  I know we have only seen Diane, Dale and Laura under different names in this universe from the Twin Peaks universe but there may be others from the Twin Peaks universe walking about under different names.

Any ideas as to why Richard Coop totally ignored the dead guy in the room? I mean, even though he's set on his mission, as an FYI agent it should raise just a little curiosity.

I think he's the kind if FBI agent that can be wildly curious without demonstrating his emotions in order to complete the task at hand. He definitely noticed the entire scene and kept track of all the details but the time to ponder was not just then
