I havent seen anyone mention why Laura was such a good weapon. To me, besides the fact that the fireman had a mind in creating her spirit, Laura was a great weapon because of her mother. Judy takes over Sarah because she feasts on Sarah's pain and suffering. In my mind, what would hurt Judy the most is if Sarah suddenly felt tremendous joy. What would bring her this joy? Well how about seeing her daughter alive again. This, for me, is the reason Cooper wanted to take Laura home. It's also why Judy freaked out as Sarah when Cooper was walking Laura through the woods.

The idea of Laura as a weapon is a much more positive spin on the idea of Laura as bait. So good on you for introducing it here.

I can't think of anything that would make Sarah human again except seeing her daughter.  I like this idea.

It's just that Laura is the One.  She was made special.  Whether that means she is the perfect dagger or that she is a vast and sorrowful vessel for suffering or something else entirely. That she alone can blight Judy and reclaim Sarah as you say.  I like your idea - The One doesn't sound like what you'd call bait.  Maybe if it were a green butt skunk...

Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for clarifying some things. I'm still not 100% convinced that Sarah is inhabited by JUDY (and if she is when this happened?) but I'm coming around slowly. Your post was clear in some ways I haven't seen yet and gives me some new things to chew on. Do you think Laura is the tulpa of Carrie Page?

This is why I think she is the stone in the 2 birds with one stone.  By hearing Sarah call out her name Carrie Page remembers who she is and through screaming kills Judy by the electricity going out in the house.  Thus Laura is found again and Judy is killed.  2 birds with one stone.  Job done.

I've heard this theory, and it's consistent with what we see in the final moments of S3.  It's one interpretation.
