In FWWM the empty trailor spot that Coop investigated was the home of old lady Chalfont and her grandson. Matter of fact the previous people that lived there were Chalfonts.  Desmond found the Owl Cave ring there and disappeared.

Lauras house was occupied by the Tremonds(Donna's Chalfont) and before them the Chalfonts. According to Mrs. Tremond in eps 18.

Mrs Chalfont gave Laura the painting of the room where I think Teresa Banks was and Laura were to meet Leland or is this painting from elsewhere. Is this is the hotel and room that Jeffries occupies.

What am I saying?

Not sure just seems interesting.

Do the telephone poles connect these places?

And what the deal with the marble rye?

I guess the big house was too much for two and they moved to the Fat Trout trailer park 🙂

But yes, is the same painting and in part 16 we could see it corresponds to the room above the convenience store which, in turn, leads to Jeffries, that seems the same place where Teresa was with Laura.

Maybe in this new reality the painting was already at the Palmer's, and it was a portal and that's why Mrs. Tremond decided to give it to Laura in FWWM, to ocuppy its original spot.

And the electricity poles they seem to connect this places. Although I have a big, maybe stupid, question.

In FWWM, the Fat Trout was in Deer Meadow, right? but in The Return it was suggested to be located in Twin Peaks, or what did I miss?

What am I saying?

Not sure just seems interesting.

And what's the deal with the marble rye?

Somebody?

The whole location of the Fat Trout, as well as the location of Deer Meadow has been in hot debate since almost the beginning.

Mmmmmmmm, marble rye.

I've always seen the Tremonds/Chalfonts as Lodge spirits who want balance between good and evil maintained. So not malevolent but not all-protective. In fact I think that's all any of the Lodge spirits want apart from BOB, the Jumping Man and the Woodsmen. MIKE used to be evil then changed.

So at the end of Part 18, my theory is that the Tremonds are there to keep Carrie/Laura out of the Palmer house.

The grandson was the jumping man in  FWWM if I recall.  When they meet up with Laura in a parking lot or something.

Someone needs to draw a connection graph with all of this info.

Any volunteers?

The Chalfont/Tremond issue has always been the fuzziest aspect of Twin Peaks to me. I have a few disjointed ideas about the subject.

First, I looked up the etymology of the names and it was pretty interesting. The "font" in Chalfont means "spring or fountain" like fount. This immediately brings to mind "This is the water, this is the well. Drink deep and descend." Tremond seems to be synonymous with the more common "Tremont" which means "three mountains" as in tres mounts. Especially notable in a series called Twin Peaks. So the names have to do with mountains and fountains.

The other thing that keeps me thinking is the grandson who does overt magic tricks. Is he the magician? My only other real candidate is Red with his dime floating antics. I lean toward the grandson actually being Red, but there may be something that disqualifies him that I haven't considered.

At any rate the Woodsman's radio monologue seems to touch on and connect the various residents of the Palmer house with the mention of the well and the horse, so perhaps there more going on with Sarah and the Tremonds/Chalfonts than there seems.

Is the "grandson" not the grandson at all but a young Leland Palmer, who was led into the lodge and replaced by a Tulpa as a boy?

The trailer park in The Return is New Fat Trout.

I wonder if Carl has a similar franchise arrangement that Norma was in.  Folks are just clamoring for a Fat Trout trailer park in their towns!

I am still convinced that Red is a version of the grandson.

Her grandson was into "magic"

Laura also can be seen looking at herself lying in bed from the painting.

Did the grandson create a tulpa of Laura, when she was in the lodge? Or was Laura exchanged for her doppleganger at this moment? Meaning that the Laura that is murdered is actually her doppleganger? Which would explain why the giant shows Andy an image of Laura with the angels, Coop did actually save Laura.

This would mean that in the timeline Cooper altered, the Laura Doppleganger is on the loose.

The man behind the mask is looking for the book with pages ripped out. Were these pages used to create Carrie Page?

@floatinghigherandhigher

There is a New Fat Trout Trailer Park in season 3, Carl Rodd returned to Twin Peaks. The old was in Deer Meadow.

@mtstery_pakhandam

It may be right. Leland tells Cooper in season 2 that he hadn't killed anybody. He may be the real Leland Palmer, and the tulpa was BOB's host.
