Another Philip K Dick novel, The Penultimate Truth. The Fireman's house had a huge hall full of those big bell thingies. Wonder if they're full of dreamers?

Just ordered a copy from Amazon, £3! Been looking for some good pure fiction to indulge in, hopefully this tickles the spot.

Lynch is a bit like Cormac McCarthy for me. You just know it's going to be dark, brutal, often difficult but oh so rewarding.
They both build these horrible worlds, bludgeon the viewer or reader then leave you shocked and/or confused by the end. 'Blood Meridian' has a conclusion Lynch would be proud of.
