Do you mean that if I  type in Twin Peaks interdimensional portal  in google maps this will appear?

If so, COOL!

I just tried it, and yes, but you need the whole thing:  https://www.google.com/maps/place/Twin+Peaks,+Inter-Dimensional+Portal,+S03E16/ @48.551413,-117.1661359,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x53624e05e2f85663:0x7549a24e1c3aa92a!8m2!3d48.551413!4d-117.1639473

Still more than 5 miles from the Canadian Border, but interesting nonetheless.

I considered that distance from the border.  I considered that while the city limits may be closer to the border, the coordinates do not necessarily lead to the town proper but some area out in the boonies.

BTW, where were Mr. C & Richard when Richard got sizzled?

To be honest, although it is a strong one, there is nothing definite in the show that says the 430 starts from Glastonbury Grove. I think the reason being that we cut straight from Coop and Diane at the Grove to them arriving by car at the crossing point. But it's never catogorically stated that the Grove is the starting point, it must be said.

Thank you for that information.

Since Cooper came out of Phillip Jeffries "hotel room" which I figure is in the Black Lodge but don't know for sure, to a waiting Diane in what LOOKED like G. Grove, we assumed that is was the Grove in TP. However, he did just walked out of a "magical" realm. I suppose they could have been anywhere.  We have learned that there are multiple portals in the world.

Absolutely, although it's not even just that. One moment we see the two outside the Grove and the next they're arriving at the crossing point in a car. We don't know what happens inbetween; whether they discussed the plan or they already knew the plan, where they got the car from, where officially the 430 miles started from. Ultimately, I think it is Glastonbury Grove, but only because the jump cut between the two locations leaves us nothing else to go on.

One thing I do find strange: when they get to the crossing point and Coop gets out the car to check tje atmosphere, he checks his watch in what looks quite a purposeful manner to me. Was the time of crossing equally relevent as the distance?

Maybe he had a barometer on his watch. 🙂

And I noticed that too and assumed the time had to be specific too although if nobody remembers anything about it, then maybe not.

Perhaps the time had to be 4:30 or 2:53 (or 3:11 or 4:20, etc)

BTW I meant to say thank you for the affirmation but auto-correct turned it into information....which I shouldn't complain about.  Auto-correct has done much much worse things to me.

You know, this leads me to a pet peeve of the shots Mr Lynch and Frost Assembled.  We have to stare at people experiencing something like uncomfortable silences, or wait for minutes for a simple scene change to create tension and mystery yet when it comes to those damn coordinates they blaze through the screen in milliseconds.  It could be that he DOESN'T want us to know where these things are because the coordinates will give the EXACT location of where Richard was sizzled and where Jack Rabbits Palace is.  Then we could triangulate a lot more places as well since we know the location of the falls, the Great Northern, the RR etc etc etc...

Lol I agree to a point.

We are "lucky" (?) that we got to see any coordinates at all and that they ACTUALLY lined up to anything possibly valid

I was fully expecting the numbers to not mean anything or to place us somewhere in rural China.

Yes, they don't say they started from Twin Peaks, but I think everyone tends to assume that also because, where else?

I played around a little earlier with looking at what is 430 miles from where they filmed the scene, but that didn't turn up anything that seemed to have Twin Peaks significance - though I may not be the best at that game.

I don't think we saw the full coordinates of where the Richard scene take place - if we presume Diane sent him the set for JRP, and it was Ray and Jeffries who both directed him to that rock. But, we did see enough of them in the Jeffries scene to place the location in the same general area; plus, wherever it was, Jerry got there on foot.

What's funny is when I saw that sizzle rock, I immediately assume Wyoming or Montana.  Then Jerry was found......naked......in Wyoming.

I too, think the rock is in Wyoming.  Not sure how Jerry got anywhere on foot, wasn't one of his feet possessed or something?

Yes, but also, it is not inconceivable to walk such a distance in a week

I think it's entirely plausible for Jerry to make it that far, especially with that foot of his (or not his).

Allegedly it is 430 miles from Odessa to Los Alamos.

ON a hunch, since we seem to be dealing with time and not mileage, I checked all directions at 4 hours and 30 minutes outside of Snoqualmie.

I was not rewarded for my time, but at least now that is exhausted.

I am sticking with desert climate area outside of Boise...

430 from Odessa to Los Alamos is interesting but they clearly didn't start there.  My memory is that they left from somewhere in the PAC Northwest, I still believe it to be JRP.
