Ok, After reading all these posts, I've come around to the belief that there will be more Audrey. It was the lick down facility that convinced me!
I think Jerry will tell Ben about seeing Richard die, and there will be some reference to how tough his childhood was with an institutionalized mom. And/or a reference in The Final Dossier. Not really much left to be said.
Some kind of deus ex machina healing might be in store for Audrey, involving Coop and the Giant or the Senorita.
Look for the golden orbs! The world is such a dark horror show right now, I don't think the series is going to leave us in the Black Lodge.
Re: Coop possibly saving Audrey, he doesn't necessarily know anything about what BadCoop did to her, or Diane, or the existence of Richard. In his time back on earth it's likely he only has his memories as Dougie and his life before the lodge. If anything, his first question should be, "How's Annie?" :->
He appears to know a lot. There are hints that he saw many things while in the lodge, and I think he may have even seen some people manufactured there. We hear the word "seed" first from him. He isn't surprised by anything anymore and doesn't flinch from activities such as sending himself through electric wall sockets. The Fireman's words are cryptic but Cooper understands them. He awakes in the hospital room fully aware of how to proceed. Mike does tell him that "the other one didn't go back, " but I think this only confirms what Cooper already suspects.
I honestly don't know what to think. My mind goes from expecting her story line to be done, to thinking that she has a far more important role to play. I keep coming back to the fact that Sherilyn Fenn was unhappy with her plot line. Maybe there's a hint there.
Many of the Twin Peaks characters' plot lines are less attractive than the originals. Audrey's is probably the most extreme departure --from that smart, charismatic, and increasingly heroic individual loved by most viewers of the first 2 seasons. S. Fenn loved the character herself, and was very proud of that role.
So it makes sense that Fenn would initially resist or balk at playing this new strange Audrey. Still, I don't think that necessarily means we have seen the end of the plot line. It may end quite badly. Also, the role has turned out to be much bigger than we were led to believe. The reports kept saying that she was probably only in a couple of short scenes, which is not true.

Why would the good Cooper ask that question? It was Bad Coop that was repeating that, Good Coop was stuck in the lodge.
On the Audrey front, I am totally lost. Yeah I got some loose ideas, but hell, I'm just riding the wave on this one.
If she was in a mental institution of sorts, they wouldn't allow her to have access to a mirror, because that can be broken and used to do harm to herself or others.

She's gone to get her hair and nails done, fallen asleep in the chair and had a dream about Charlie and dancing at the Roadhouse. And now she's realised she's overslept and is late.
At least there's one theory that's guaranteed to be wrong
She's almost definitely NOT in a mental institution.
My theories for that are very simple - A - She wouldn't be allowed the mirror. My friend, an alcoholic schizophrenic, was sent to an institution and he wasn't allowed razors to shave himself, a mirror, or even a shoe-lace in his room. So, I doubt it.
B - The electrical crackle. How come everybody's missed that? We've been led to believe that anytime we hear that crackle it suggests something otherworldly.
Now, my theory is she's locked away in a different dimension somewhere, and Charlie is actually an extension of HER. Her own rationality. That voice in all our heads that go 'Calm down dickhead, listen to me.' He's a literal manifestation of that.
I also think Billy may well be Coop. An out-there theory, but one I'm holding onto until proven wrong.
