Timeline distortion

I don't think there is any timeline distortion. We do not have the complete picture. Once all 18 episodes have aired, we will have all the pieces and then, and only then, will we be able to make sense of it all. 

We see things as we are, not as they are. The inconsistencies appear inconsistent because we do not know the complete context.

I agree thai timelines are something that may resolve.  That's one topic that makes my head spin.

I agree with this. He also has probably diverged from the original script some (like he did in the season 2 finale but probably not as much since he was involved in writing the script this time).
