do anyone think it's a red herring or is there some importance to whatever is on that missing page??

Oh yeah... I feel certain that this missing page will pop back us and tell us some important stuff.  Maybe we find out that Maddie was really Laura's doppelganger......

I guess that would be news to Maddie's parents...one of whom would be Leland or Sarah's sibling (was that ever explained?)

By the way...that would have been one difficult phone call to make to Maddie's parents.   She went to Twin Peaks to comfort Leland and Sarah after their daughters murder, only to be murdered herself  by you know who.  I don't think they left that job to Andy.

I agree on the centrality of Laura, they made this point very clear (Laura is the one). Again making her whisper another secret in Coop's ear, something i feel is being underestimated by many. It's very possible we will have the solution of Dougie/Mr.C issue when it's going to be revealed what she whispered.

Therefore Donna's missing page theory looks logic enough, but i tend to believe there's still one page missing too.

In terms of the diarIES, i still have to clear my mind about it. Are these pages from the first diary or from the one at Harold Smith's?

I was thinking about what Laura whispered to Cooper the other day and if we'll find that out, or if it'll become obvious by some other means, in terms of action. If I were to guess I d say she said that there was another Coop out there wreaking havoc upon the world and / or he's hell bent on somehow capturing / killing the Experiment.

As an aside where do we think she went when she rose up screaming? Do we think it happened because of what she said to Cooper?

Personally, I think Laura was either removed from the Red Room for her own safety or she was kidnapped. Someone is either after her, say Bob, or someone knows of her importance (she is the One after all). Not to mention, Leland asked agent Cooper to find her. What does he know that we don't?

I would love to see that little tidbit resolved. I am having trouble imagining, however, what NEW info it could contribute (I would be disappointed if that page was used to retcon Sarah's persona in TP-OS and FWWM.

Seems to me that the purpose of those pages as a plot device was t o close the circle with Annie appearing in Laura's bed.

I am not much for making elaborate predictions- I just hope that if it comes back up, it is appropriately shocking.

I'm with you on it serving well as a plot device. In addition to closing the circle with Annie, it also gave Frank reason to call Gordon Cole.

Red herrings aside, given the dialogue hasn't exactly been verbose, Hawk's comment that there was one page still missing seems too big a set up for there not to be some kind of payoff, commensurate or not.

It's funny now there are only 3 parts left, how upon recalling how much we've been given, we find ourself thinking, 'Oh, I'd forgotten about that.'

🙂

I agree with you.  Considering that it's Laura's diary, and she's the one, I expect we'll see the last page.

Yes! Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

In my head all night. Well done. Well done.

I'm toying with the idea that it is what Ed burned.  His scene was certainly suspect given that his reflection had its hackles up, and then he goes and gets this thing that he's been pining for since high school.  If I were police, I might think there was a quid pro quo going on here.  Destruction of evidence for a little Nadinewashing.  Norma too, for that matter.

What's an interpretive dance if you don't flex your interpretive muscles?

The missing page says:

"All characters and events portrayed in this book are purely fictitious..."

I think that Mother removed Laura from the Red Room. The manner in which she was removed does not match the known M.O. of other antagonists. We know very little about Mother but she is an agressive, feared entity (Naido & Cooper scene). Laura looked scared when she was violently whisked away from the Red Room. Her exit was different to that of Naido.

Is this whole season an 18 hour promo for the final dossier?

99+++ things that if you want the answer to, you'll have to buy the book.

Funny you should mention what Laura whispered to cooper.. someone put that on YouTube and revailed what she whispered to him.. not going to give it away especially if it's fake but I put on my earphones and listened to it and I heard it word for word.. it's under twin peaks the message

In fact we don't know anything about Maddies' parents, do we? But Laura's doppelgänger (and Maddies's too, both with white eyes) has already be shown at the end of Season 2, so I don't think it's the case.
