There's something about jumping man's mask and Mrs Tremond's grandson wearing a similar one that makes me think the mask is symbolic of something.

The only thing I can think of is hiding one's identity. If this is the case, Sarah Palmer may not necessarily be the Jumping Man, but it may point to an ability to hide ones true identity.

At this point though, I'm resigned to knowing that A) I may never find out or b) when I do find out I'll likely be wrong anyway 😀

The '89 scene was Cooper's dream. Gordon and Albert  were in Cooper's dream.

I used to think this was ambiguous or unclear.

But this is how it went in Part 14:

Cole: "... listening to Cooper, telling me he was worried about a dream he had."

Cooper: "Gordon, it's 10:10AM on February 16th."

Cooper: "I was worried about the day because of the dream I told you about."

Cole: That was the day Phillip Jeffries appeared. And didn't appear.

...

So, Cooper had related the dream to Cole previously and is referring to it. We don't know what the dream was about, except it had something to do with that date.

I'm now wondering, if the sharp things coming out of Sarah's face were meant to resemble the Jumping Man's nose. That seems a bit silly, though.

Some have speculated that the monkey in FWWM is Jeffries, because the monkey was also "present", behind the mask(!), at that scene above the convenience store. I can't remember if it was in the Missing Pieces only.

I don't think the events we saw were Cooper's dream, by which I mean I believe these events actually happened. I do think that Cooper's dream was probably about those same events. It seems clear that it was a premonition, since he tells Gordon, "I was worried about today because of the dream I told you about." Also, there is the way Cooper is checking the surveillance camera, and then the exchange, "Gordon!" "I know, Coop."

It also seems that Cooper had not met Jeffries prior to this ("Meet the long lost Philip Jeffries; you may have heard about him in the academy"). So he didn't know his dream was about Jeffries, though I'm suggesting it was a dream about someone showing up in the way Jeffries does.

I'm not sure how to interpret the Jumping Man, but the similarity between his mask and the one we see with the young Tremond (Pierre) and the monkey seems significant. Thinking maybe this relates somehow to Jeffries' teleportation, so perhaps that could be extended to playing a role in Sarah's possession. But the best I've got as to how would simply be "Electricity"

I don't understand what you mean? I am not commenting on whether or not there was negativity between Lynch and The Man From Another Place. Whether or not Michael J. Anderson was involved in the new series, I'm saying that this sounds to me like original audio from Season 1 of Lynch directing Anderson. Help me understand your response.

Do a quick search for what was said. I don't think Lynch is a particularly petty man but he has held grudges for a lot less than what was said. The fact he recast the character into a tree with a brain to me means he's effectively wiped Anderson out of the show so I can't see him inserting anything of him in.

But could you see Lynch inserting audio of him bossing Michael J. Anderson around and calling him "Little Michael"? Seems like a passive-aggressive way of including a reference to Michael J. Anderson/TMFAP without actually including him in the production 🙂

I think that was what Sammy meant earlier - if it was for health reasons that Anderson left, it would be acceptable to include such recordings of the two shared respect and friendship towards one another. But because they left on severe terms, it would be a bit harsh for Lynch to include such recordings.

So in short, I don't think it relates to Anderson IMO

That voice doesn't sound like David Lynch, at any speed.

Anyway, what it's saying is "“I sawyered Michael / as tacks pass away / that’s Fanton Corner / with its turkey ducks”.

I might not be right. But I'm certainly NOT not right.

Badalamenti Fan posted a link to an interesting video on this very subject over on his 10 Observations thread... some way done the first post I think.

While I can certainly see that as, perhaps, Sarah it seems like a number of faces might be popping up.
