By the way the woman with the key is apparently played by a male actor and is credited as bosomy woman, I genuinely don't know what to make of that, but God is she creepy.

The woman reminds me a lot of Ronette...

I wondered about that for a minute, and also thought of Mrs. Chalfont as she was walking up.

The place through this portal does not seem the most...hygenic locale, does it? Glad I can't smell the Woodsmen (especially the one by the door). They smell like death.

In real life it's called Mt. Si Motel and it is located in North Bend, Washington - just a few miles away from other Twin Peaks locations. However, Teresa Banks stayed in room 6 - and Bad Cooper talked with Philip Jeffries in room 8.

Looks legit.

Nice catch

People on reddit/FB caught it before I did. I just had to research to validate. Lynch is one in a million.

Why is it that I never can see what everyone else sees? What looks legit about it?

Or I dunno maybe I am just blind.

They remind me of pole insulators, but the material looks like metal and not glass.

I had a teacher in middle school who collected the things.

The wood siding to the motel is the exact same as the Banks' motel in FWWM.

Judy is keeping Jeffries locked up (she has the key). If this is Teresa's motel the Black Lodge crew has trapped him here back in 1988 when FBI investigated Teresa (or was he in Buenos Aires at that time?)

He had to go through C.S. portal to get to it. The machine & Jeffries in an orb is not there when he first walks in, it appears there. Later the phone call tricks him into a portal that dumps him outside "convenience store."

Same motel, Mt Si in North Bend. Teresa's is #6, Jeffries is #8.

And before getting onto the motel parking ground Mr. C has gone through the same door opening as Laura Palmer when she 'dreamed' herself to be in the painting Mrs. Tremond/Chalfont gave her (FWWM), right? So this 'above a convenience store' is definitely a 'maliable' place/state. In other words: the Black Lodge looks like being able to also conjure up images and communications just as the Fireman is able to do in his White Lodge 'castle' (does his 'lighthouse' really 'exist'?). Just as Andy gets a slide show, so Mr. C gets to 'talk' to Jeffries.

When I saw the scene, I immediately thought of the first case of blue rose when Jeffries and Cole broke into a MOTEL and discovered the first case of doppleganger. Can it be that the room where Mr.C meets Jeffries machine is the same place as 1975? And the woman who opens the door could be Lois Duffy??

Possibly been mentioned before but has anyone else noticed the motel door numerals - and the one Mr C stayed at with Darya - have the same typeface as the telegraph poles?  ISTR other places of interest having them, too.

As an aside, I noticed my clothesline reel makes the same noise as the one used for the electricity sound in the show.

All I noticed was the #8 somewhere at Dutchmans and either James or Freddy was placed in cell #8. No obvious connection but they made sure we heard and saw the number.

I knew it.  Watched this twice, and both creeped-out times I said to myself (bossominess notwithstanding) "that is the most mannish woman ever, or it is a man".
