I'm not even sure Jeffries was "there".

to me the teapot/bell is clearly a spirit/soul trap device. A machine that has to do with electricity (the spirits' public transport 🙂 ) and designed to block a spirit/soul from possessing a  body. Could be Jeffries' soul in there or Jeffries' tulpa/doppel spirit, anything goes. Being 3 episodes away from the finale (not much time really to elaborate a full jeffries story) its pretty sure that this is jeffries or the scene is meant to create ambiguity forever. Whoever is in there, he is a prisoner, a spirit without a body.

This tends to confirm my theory that these bells are stupas. A relic can be felt as a spirit without a proper body. Maybe he died in another time but his spirit lived on in that device, maybe of his own volition if he's not a proper prisoner.

so Jeffrey is a percolator these days ?

Very fishy.

Bowie was in a band called Tin Machine, at the time of FWWM... So no coincidence, I guess...

Makes some sense knowing that mother is probably in the teapot/bell in the mauve room. ("My mother's coming!")

But who is in the Fireman's teapot in episode 8, then?

Thank you for elaborating on the suggestions I made earlier Fullgomaniak, but it's becoming a bit of a mess now. As I suggested in the earlier motel thread Mr. C visited the Black Lodge and is not questioned or stopped, but he doesn't own the place. It is owned by Mother and BOB and it appears when and where and how théy want it to.

http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-15/jeffries-hotel-with-key-teresa-banks-threesome-spot/paged/2/

If Mr. C would be the owner of the 'prison' he would have called for the #8 key. Judy would not need to tell him that she/he can open up for him. So he is clearly visiting. And if the forces of the Black Lodge 'live above a convenience store' it means that they can also project things for visitors, just as Fireman (now he has a name, of 7 letters instead of 7 question marks, so that is solved) can do in his White Lodge. The presentation is to tell/show Mr. C that Phillip Jeffries used to be in motel room #8 to keep an eye on Teresa Banks prostitution work (in motel room #6) back in 1988.

I DO like the new idea that the phone ringing announces the arrival (on foot, but he must have followed Mr. C from The Farm) of Richard though!

One last riddle: how did Ray know that Jeffries is to be found at The Dutchman's ('not even a place'. Mr. C: 'I know where it is')?

Fullgomenakias: Never said he owns the place or that he is the boss of it, you guys picked a word I wrote and drove it away from my point. I just said he is a boss of some sort meaning an authority within his territory and not Jeffries' teritory.

I read your posts, I m not sure if my post has anything to do with what you wrote. I can't say I understand your analysis, you bring in too many information and I feel confused when reading it.

Dear Fullgomenakias, what I meant that it was my post -as far as I can see- that first suggested Jeffries was locked up in the motel room. That is why I quoted the thread  http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-15/jeffries-hotel-with-key-teresa-banks-threesome-spot/

But no sweat: we are getting there, all together. The fact that 'bosomoy woman' spoke in reverse reinforced my conviction that we are having a look at the Black Lodge here, because Lodge talk is inverted talk (also in the Red Room and the Fireman's White Lodge). Rewatching Fire Walk With Me, it struck me that 'the arm' (1992 version) says in the scene where we see the 8 creatures above the convenience store '[we are] going up and down, as intercourse between the two worlds'. That is nicely put: vortexes and Lodge portals are shortcuts between the here & now and the metaphysical.

Even more proof that we are in the Black Lodge here. Watch what happens when the amp guy (bleeding from the mouth in the meantime) - Dr, Amp!- pulls the lever. Both in FWWM en in S03E15. Also compare the painting Mrs. Tremond gives to Laura in FWWM with the entrance Mr. C goes through.

And doesn't this woodsman that we saw at the Black Hills Buckhorn South Dakota trailer park where Gordon Cole had a 'vortex peek' into the Black Lodge look like the guy escorting Mr. C to the stairs and up the stairs in S03E15?

Definitely a prison feel to this place, but I'm still not sure what it means for PJ, and I don't see Mister C as the boss.

The bells do look like stupas, so that is an interesting path to follow.

i dont think its necessary that there is someone inside every bell of the series. the significance of these objects is that they are related to electricity (probably graha bell is the reason they look like this). They could trap someone (an electrical "comb"), they could take you to a place (electrical stream changing like inside the dutchmans or when naido changed coop's 15 exit to 3), they could send you an alert about changes in the electrical flow (the giant being alerted), etc.

I ran this testing scene frame by frame and it turns out there's not only the face of the Jumping Man but at least one more. See the images. Anyone recognizes Sarah Palmer there? And another much younger women?

OMG I *thought* there was something weird with her face!!! It wasn't just me!
