That is assuming that DougieCoop is the REAL Cooper. In the scene when Mr C was talking to Phillip Jeffries, Jeffries implied that Mr C is the real Special Agent Dale Cooper, that's what I saw at least. That would mean that DougieCoop is the doppleganger, which opens up an entirely new set of potential theories.
I really don't know atm though, but I think this is a possibility.
Yes, this messed with my brain. I was wondering if I'd been wrong all season, that Mr. C. is the "real" Cooper (but I like the idea of people talking about split/personalities). But this is so NOT Mr. C. in ANY way in how he's been presented in Season 3, so WHO IS IT?
It's Coop's doppelgänger who has evolved, over the last 25 years that we weren't privy to, into the Mr C that we now know.
That's interesting because it doesn't seem that BOB evolves, ever. He didn't evolve with Leland, he simply "took". So, BOB is id and Mr. C. is ego?: "He is BOB, eager for fun. He wears a smile, everybody run!"
Bob may not want to and he doesn't need to change along with the host. They're separate entities. But, one can say that Mike evolved, or changed, once he saw the face of god. Also, It's not even clear that Bob has been with Mr C since part 8. The id/ego thought is interesting. And, of course, love the quote!
If this ends in a merging of the two Coopers, how the hell will he live with what his dark side has done? All the people he killed.
His double took advantage of Audrey, she gave birth to a killer whom he may have to take down. How is going to face Audrey? Or himself in the mirror?
Cooper will probably wish he was just Dougie again.
