At the end of the Norma/Ed reconnection this episode, I couldn't help but think of that scene in the Missing Pieces where they're in a car at night listening to a far-off song on the radio and Norma says "It's you and me, Ed. You can barely hear us."

By contrast, when Ed and Norma kiss in this episode, there is loud music that carries through to shots of the mountain and sky, as if to say that they are finally audible, and all the town can hear their joy. A beautiful bit of visual/audio storytelling, don't you think?

The timing of the lyrics and the dynamics of the music were perfect. A whole soap opera in one song.

That scene made my heart happy.

It seemed like the antithesis of the Sarah scene in the Number 9 bar, but had the exact equal amount of emotional power, and in both scenes, a woman was shown exerting power. But in Sarah's case it isn't really a person's power. In Norma's, it is 100% her own. I love Norma so much. She is my new goddess.
