Episode 15 might be a good call.

Whoever came up with the 'current' theory probably nailed the pseudo-scientific explanation.  When Coop enters the room, reality is stopping and starting, moving forward and reversing...not unlike alternating current (AC).  When Naido goes to the roof, she flips the switch, which causes reality to flow more smoothly in one direction, like direct current (DC).

Had Cooper left through the exit leading to the car adapter (which is DC), all would have been well.  Instead, his exit led to the wall outlet, which uses AC.  So his mind kinda got scrambled as a result.

This makes sense. But where was the DC exit and how could Dale have known to use it?

I dunno.  Somehow Cooper was diverted or drawn from the car driven by Mr. C to the wall receptacle near Dougie.  We probably won't get a real explanation.   For all we know, it was a 50/50 gambit by Mr. C that just worked out for him.

I've considered that the reason Mr.  C changes cars and sets his car up with the dog leg and other evil items was as insurance.  If Coop did change places with him, he would likely be sent to jail on the weight of Mr. C's setup or previous actions.  This would trap him for Mr. C to get to if Mr. C managed to find his way to Dougie instead.  Dougie could have alternatively setup as a place for Mr. C to land not Coop.

Interesting idea.

I did not come up with this theory on my own but find it to be very plausible.

Its all about electricity.

When Coop enters the room with Naido, Coop is moving back and forth like an AC current does. She warns him away from the socket and then takes him up to change the current to DC, and sacrifices herself in the process. Coop reenters the room and now he is moving normally because DC current does not go back and forth like AC does.. He goes to the socket and starts going through which should take him to the car lighter which is a DC circuit but because MrC has planned for this, Coop instead goes through the AC electric socket in Dougie's room and it scrambles his brain in process.

My theory is Coop needs a jolt of electricity to get his brain back to normal. Im thinking a nice charge form a Taser will do the trick. A Taser starts as DC, is then converted to AC, gets amplified and then converts back to DC.

Perhaps we'll see AC/DC make an appearance soon at the Roadhouse.

I took a more prosaic approach & decided that, as Cooper went through #3 in episode 3, he was going to re-emerge in episode 15.  Guess I'll find out in a week's time!

That is actually a very cool theory!!

Reading all this, I'm thinking that the real Dale Cooper wouldn't have the incredibly good luck/protection that Dougie Cooper has had. Even in reacting to something like Ike the Spike, he would have a layer of inhibition, whereas Dougie Cooper was free to just act on 100% instinct and connection with the Evolution of the Arm (or MIKE in other instances).

So maybe Mister C. intended for the real Cooper to return and be more vulnerable? Maybe he planned for himself (Mister C.) to enter the vessel of Dougie that he manufactured.... I really like Charlie's explanation up above.

One thing confusing this theory though is: Didn't Mister C. send the the hit men to Rancho Rosa to shoot Dougie Cooper?? Hmmmm... perhaps if it had been Mister C in Dougie's body, and Dougie's body was killed, then Mister C would merge with Real Cooper's body--or Bob would jump to real Cooper's body??

?????? Help us out here Fireman.

I don't think he COULD go through the DC exit, or was SUPPOSED to. When he started walking towards the outlet in Naido's room, it was like we ran into an invisible wall, and Naido seemed very alarmed at the prospect of his approaching it (seeming t oindicate that it would kill him).

I think the "Scrambled brain" issue is not related to "current" as much as it is to Mr. C's trick....
