1) I have wondered all this time why the gang was always rude to Chad.  I didn't like him at all, but thought it was out of character for everyone to be so cold to him.  When they handcuffed him and were all like, "We've been watching you for months", my husband and I were cheering like it was a football game.  That was an awesome surprise.

2) Andy coming out of the wood like a boss.  Loved it!

3) Sara Palmer...the "I'm gonna eat you" line.  First of all, she stuck the landing on that one and I think it might be the coolest thing I have ever seen.  Bonus gifts and prizes: for a split second I lived vicariously through her and imagined being able to do that to the creeps that have approached me over the years and it was deliciously satisfying.

That seamless transition from freakish throat-eating whatever ... to frightened woman ... to no nonsense badass was just amazing to watch

Except then you'd have their blood in your mouth, and you don't know where they've been.

I'm introducing a friend of mine to the original Twin Peaks for the first time and she's been pretty freaked out by Sarah Palmer's scenes, she thinks she's kind of creepy.  Now I'm just going to be laughing, like, you have no idea.

Christen that is so funny 🙂

Don't you love screening Twin Peaks for friends?  It's amazing watching their reactions as they go through the series, and of course, I always tell them to please avoid spoiling anything by going on the internet.  And you get to watch the series over again yourself! 🙂

It's so true.  She's very vocal about what she's thinking and her theories so it's super fun to see her work through her ideas and be surprised by the characters.  It's been a ball watching her experience Cooper for the first time.  That and watching Dana Ashbrook just kill it as Bobby, what a great actor.    That and she loves James's fuzzy hair XD

That was SO satisfying!  I love characters who are good at their job, and this was one of those scenes.  Like, did you really think all these guys thought Chad was just a crappy deputy half assing his job?  And you know they had Lucy in on it too, which is why she was watching him so closely when he swiped the letter.  I love that.  They guys. <3

How far into the series is she?  Has Laura's murder been solved yet?  How fast are you pacing her through the series?

We are doing one episode a week, though we did make up for a missed week and watched two back to back.  We're not very far, just finished episode 6 with the Shelly shooting Leo and Audrey in Cooper's room cliffhanger.  She suspects Maddy may be important. 🙂

We're happy to take our time, I'm curious to see if she'll be interested in watching The Return once we get through the original series.  I know the changes are not everyone's cup of tea, but she likes a good mystery!

I'm glad that you're "pacing" her well Christen, Twin Peaks shouldn't be binged watch, it's so much better watching an hour a week.  Great job!

I found Sarah Palmer and the trucker scene particularly satisfying too. I wish I had some way to scare the bejesus out of people harassing me. And god, I've had men say almost that very same thing to me; word for word!

On another note, I thought the trucker looked a lot like Leo Johnson, which is probably a coincidence, since he's probably long dead.

Truck 'em both.

I've had horrible things like that said to me as well and it's a crappy feeling, so I'm glad he didn't get to linger around!

So (trying to steer clear of political affiliations but it's hard) the Trucker seems like the perfect stand in for a certain type of. . . ok, eff it, ultra right-wing, gun-lovin', misogynist, redneck, homo/transphobic a-hole Trump supporter. I mean, the hate-filled rhetoric that spews out of that dudes mouth . . .

Anyway, I guess if I had to claim a religion it'd be Won Buddhism, and I have put a lot of effort into following the tenets of that belief system  - to the point where I do realize that someone who is filled with that much hate inside is suffering greatly - and may be even worthy of the highest amount of compassion. ..

But GD did I ever punch the invisible ceiling with my fist when she dropped the "Do you really want to fuck with this?" and bit his neck off. So wrong, but so, so right.
