I am new here but... has anyone else read into the colour of Diane's hair?

We are flirting with the notion of her being in cahoots with MR.C and there is some implication they had a romantic thing/altercation.

Maybe she has a case of the Leland Palmers?

I mean i know Bob was in MR C until he got shot but... he wanted to be Laura whilst in Leland's body so maybe he can have more than one host or control people without being inside em?

Hi and welcome!  : ) I'm relatively new to posting here myself, but I've been lurking for a while, and I've seen several different references to Diane's hair.  As you mentioned, there is the color, which resembles Leland's white shade.  I saw a discussion about her hair being cut in a bob, and whether or not that's a reference to her being associated with Bob in some way.  I commented that her hair is similar in length to Candie, Mandie, and Sandie, although theirs is more styled in keeping with their showgirl outfits.  I've seen people mention that it could be a wig.

I think your theory about Bob having multiple hosts could be true, but I don't think he can be in multiple people at the same time. He seems tricky enough to me to move between people if he wanted to do so.  Mister C doesn't have the white hair, but he is willing to have Bob inside him.  In my opinion,  I don't think Diane is influenced by Bob.  I think it's more likely that she is being forced to cooperate with Mister C and/or she has her own agenda for some reason.

Nah, more like she's a Suicide Blonde.

Long-time lurker here too, so Hi everybody.

Diane has kept my mind busy lately. I've been reading all the theories about her involvement with Mr. C and of course something is going on. But especially after seeing 14 I've had a feeling this might be a red herring.

I had two opposing thoughts, the first of which is that Diane might actually be acting as an agent of the white lodge.  It was never shown that the messages she receives are coming directly from Mr. C, and there's the fact the dinner table one was written differently (sth about the capitalization iirc). If Mr. C has the ability to intercept electronic coms, I'm sure the white lodge would be able to do just the same, so maybe those messages have been forwarded to her from a 3rd party which is on the hunt for Mr. C?

The second theory (which relates to her hair a bit) is a far fetched one, but for some reason I can't shake it off completely atm.

What if Diane *is* Phillip Jeffries (i.e. host to whatever is left of him or his doppelganger)?

There's the atomic blonde hairdo and androgynous overall appearance plus the chainsmoker thing. (Although those things probably relate to David Bowie more than P.J., at least as far we know.)
Her/his overall attitude towards the FBI, which got him entangled with all this in the first place.
She knows Mr. C, maybe that last meeting she was referring to wasn't as long ago as everybody is made to believe it was? And maybe it was her ordering Ray and Daria's hit on Mr. C.
She was inside the prison, so she'd have had the possibility to forward the ring to somebody else. So maybe the Dutchman's is the place Diane is staying at?

Like I said, I know it's a far stretch and there's points contradicting this theory, but for some reason I had to get it off my chest, for whatever it's worth.

Cheers

Diane's backstory and her allegiance is one of the huge questions I have in my mind too.  I think we need to get more evidence.  Perhaps we will get more details this week as everyone heads to Vegas to see her half sister - Janey E.  I'm intrigued by the fact that Diane will see Dougie with her half sister.  Her reaction in that moment will be important.
