Andy's Vision - what was that scene with Lucy?

Regarding Lucy: I noticed that in some of the scenes of Andy's vision - the image became more and more "shaky" - as in the vision of Lucy. I thought the "shakiness" of the vision might imply that this scene is in the future, but since it hasn't happened yet in real life, it's not "stable". It's something that Andy is supposed to do, but it's not something that is set in stone - i.e. not stable.

At the time, I took the Lucy video to be a flashback to her being told that her son Wally had died.

That was my first impression, as well. It was just an impression, though. Perhaps if I watch it again it will seem different.

The pole with the no. 6 on it is in the vicinity of the trailer park.  It feeds the trailer parked in lot no. 6.  I wonder who lives in the trailer in lot no. 6.

Yea, I just made that up.

It seemed like Andy was positioning Lucy as a lookout. I took her eye movements as Kimmie's quirky acting to show she's "looking out".  The vision may have been intended to help Andy have the courage to put Lucy in that position - likely in harm's way.

Going back to the earlier point about chronology, I agree with René-Gilles that Naido had likely been there a while before TP Sheriff Dept found her.  It seemed like the mist and electricity/lightning around her could have been protecting her until someone arrived.  She was certainly there before 2:53 - the time the portal opened.

The "shaky" scenes all seem to be scenes with Black Lodge supernatural "electricity" or activity in them. Opening with the Experiment, then "Gotta light?" guy, then actual electrical wires, Cooper splitting into two and finally the Lucy shot. The only thing that doesn't follow is the shot with Bob's orb isn't shaky.

The thing about number 6 is interesting.

My original thought was that, back in episode 3 when Mother was banging on the door, what we could be seeing is Naido's impending possession by the Experiment. I.e. Naido gets possessed by the Experiment regularly. The door banging shows the possessor literally "banging at her door".

So I wondered if, at some point in the cell, Naido turns into the gruesome Experiment and rains bloody murder all over Chad.

Just a random thought. I'm not sure really.

During the vision, did people notice that the camera panned in x3 times on the number 6, suggesting the number of the beast?

Yes. I noticed that too.

It is the moment that Andy will be showing Lucy that she is getting the red chair from the internet after all (or was it the beige one?). A little bit of 'what's on a man's mind' shimmering through in the White Lodge 'highlight show'

meaxylon - I like your "shaky = indeterminate future" comment. It's like looking at something through turbulent water.  However, I thought it was shaky because it was related to the split Cooper, i.e., there is a vibrational interference when both Coopers are present in the material world [might also explain the Got a Light Woodsmen and Experiment].  Since I think Lucy is being put in front of both Coopers, it made sense why there would be a vibrational earthquake in her scene as well.

When I slowed down the scene with Lucy, it seems pretty clear to me that she is moving her eyes from two positions, one in front to the right and the other to one in front to the left.  Not really panning and scanning, but focusing on 2 things in front of her.  I don't get scared, but more surprise/confusion.

As for the 6 pole, probably a 666 reference.  I wanted to think it was a representation that it was being shown in various times, from the B&W 50s, to the 70s, to the present.  I hope it's not, though, because if that was the case, the tree branches, leaves, etc should have changed to indicate a passage of time.  A director not doing that would be sloppy and lazy, unless the implication is that trees don't grown near those spots [which may be true, given the sycamores in the glen].  Since it was just coloring changes, I think more likely it was something like 3 states of perception or something becoming more "real" in our dimension [it also sort of happens with the high school scene, but just 2 tones].

Wow!  That would be something!
