I still think Janey-E is the ideal mate for Coop.

I know everyone else tends to root for Annie, and she was fine, I have nothing against her.  But I don't think she had the edge or the toughness that would be needed to be with SA Dale Cooper.

Example: Do you think Janey E would so easily be taken by that idiot, Windom Earle?

I feel so ambivalent about Janey-e. She displays smarts and toughness sometimes, but of everyone who seems not to know or care that something is SERIOUSLY wrong with Dougie, she is the most culpable, and in a way that seems really selfish. She's got a pile of cash, a really nice car (that I guess SHE gets to drive, since Dougie isn't getting behind the wheel) a super-weird gym set for her son (let's not get started on Sonny Jim here), an in-shape man she can climb on top of, and she's happy as a clam.

I feel the same. Actually, the more I think about it, Janey-E's character is very much like the stereotypical view of a wife, told from the perspective of a chauvinist male. Only happy if she has suitable possessions and not really bothered about the wellbeing of her other half as he's more a means to an end.

If anyone is asleep in the Jones household, it's definitely Janey-E and not Cooper, who was able to shed a tear when looking at his son.

That said, I'd be happy if the real Coop and Janey-E find happiness. I think the real Coop would balance her out and visa versa.

The "How Will Cooper Wake Up?" Is the new "Who killed laura palmer?" .

When or how Cooper wake up? Why would the White Lodge wait so long to wake Cooper? (Mike can't) Or maybe they're waiting for Cooper to wake up to give him the clues ....

Can cooper wake up in Vegas? I worry about the red balloons in Las Vegas. (If anyone saw the short-film "The Red Baloon" -1956-)

The red balloons in Twin Peaks (I believe) are a reference to this film, where a red balloon turns out to have a life of its own and accompanies a child in his day to day life. Then a band of envious boys try to destroy it and the baloon gives his life so as not to separate from his friend ....

The 1119 girl has one and seems to want suicidarce. why?

It seems that the CIA had a "subproject119" that was based on remote control of people through bioelectrical signals (electricity involved again)

She can not stand being manipulated and tries to commit suicide.

Seems like a kind of Bob or Mike using people as hosts for some purposes

Dougie / Coop behaves a bit like the red baloon ... just reply to coffe and cherry pie or to the "calling" from Black lodge and (more or less) Janey-E's orders. The rest seem to be just reflections of the Cooper we know.

I have a bad feeling about Janey-E / Coop (or some friend of Dougie in Vegas) .... somebody would die ...

But if none of them dies and cooper returns to himself ... will they let him go?

Since cooper took the place of dougie, he change for good the life of many people in Vegas.

The old lady at the casino, the Mitchum's, Bushnell, Tony... Janey-E is now different, less altered, and  now she loves "Dougie".

So ... like the red baloon ... Will Dougie / Coop or Janey-E die... Die as if it were a sacrifice to stay with each other

or they just let him go (to Twin Peaks)?

What surfaced for me when I saw the red balloons was a loss of innocence. Slight digression, I guess, but when I was a kid there a fair came to a nearby park, Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich (UK) and they were selling red balloons. One was meant to write one's name and address on the balloon's attached label and the one that got the furthest won a prize. I was holding my balloon while Mum put my details on the label. I accidentally let it go before she could complete them. I can see it rising up in the sky even now. I don't recall what the prize was, but at the time I was devastated.

So maybe, alongside so many other equally valid references to red balloons, there is something about them that taps into our memories / psyche. Lynch is bloody good at that...

Yep. Thats the beauty....  Do you remember Bobby speech at Laura's funeral? well... everyone is deep in the mud... in the SHIT! Everyone sleeping with everyone in Twin Peaks... even Dwayne Milford!!!! well... except Cooper. He had Audrey waiting... she had a crush on him... she is waiting for you man.... it's all yours coop!!! She even went into his room, and wait for him naked in bed ...looks easy man!!! But no. He is a pro, he doesn't do that with people involved in his case (anymore)... and then, he ends up 25 years stuck in the red room... I dont wanna be his weenie...

Janey E certainly helped Coop scratch that itch a couple of episodes ago.

No, she didn't. She used him to scratch her own.

Are there seven of them?

It really depends what angle they show it from.  I'm not sure I know how many are there, or if the number changes.  It always catches my eye though. I should go back and look at it in each episode.

I don't see why Cooper needs to have a relationship of that type at all. It's not as if that sort of partnership is the be all end all of happy endings. I'd prefer something of an open-ending in this case anyway, even if part of me still wants him to hook up with Audrey, if for no other reason than to put things right after LFB mucked up everything. Plus the great chemistry. But things are different now, and I don't think a relationship of that sort is all that important to his story.

I agree. Ultimately, Dale must go on alone.

I'd be very surprised if Coop settles for the domestic life with Janey E. The first thing he'll do - or should do - when he wakes up is find Annie. As much as I hate her character, it's the logical thing since that's the reason he ended up in the Black Lodge.

Janey E loves Dougie now because of what he's able to bring her (without questioning where the money and gifts came from), and she can also control him, i.e. in bed for instance. Not with Coop.

I think Janey E will die, probably at the hands of Mr. C or his minions. If that happens, destroying the Dougie persona and triggering Cooper's return.

I'd love to see Coop end up with Audrey. Not just because of LFB, but because if Audrey is stlll in a coma / broken down mental state / Black Lodge, she would, more than anyone, have an idea of what Cooper had to go through. If after everything they both manage to survive their trials, perhaps together they can get back on their feet and learn to live again.

But I don't see that happening (not impossible, of course). In fact I'd be surprised if they even have a scene together. If Cooper does wake, he'll need to take care f Mr C, Mother/BOB and find out what happened to Annie. With just a few hours left and given the show's pace, I can't see how he could possibly get together with Audrey.

One way they could end up together though is if Cooper never comes back and Dougie's mental condition deteriorates. He then ends up being locked in the same mental institution as Audrey, lol.

If he wakes up, the moves he makes depend on what he knows and the guidance he receives. When the Arm tries to arrange Dale's departure from the Red Room/lodge, the arm asks Dale if he remembers his doppelganger. Then Dale sees the awful events of 25 years ago in his mind's eye.

This suggests to me that Dale doesn't know what is going on  or what has happened. Or doesn't know at that point in the story. It may seem to him that little time has passed. The arm asks him if he remembers his doppelganger, as though they haven't talked about any of this since it began.

The Annie thing bothers me--it seems like the first thing he would want to find out, is what happened to her. Yet she seems to no longer have any place in this story, as though her plot line has to be discarded. All that matters now may well be the Giant's guidance, of which we have already caught a glimpse.

I like how you put it, "her plot line has to be discarded", because that's what she was, a plot device. Annie wasn't supposed to be in TP, so I'm not surprised that DL and MF didn't invite her back (as far as we know).

It would be odd if Coop didn't at least inquire about Annie when he wakes up. I'm sure Gordon can help there, maybe tell Coop Annie's dead or left the state. But that's probably the last we'll hear of her.

When Laura whispered in Coop's ear she may have told him that he will lose someone close to him.  That could represent janie E or Sonny Jim or both.  That could be the reason Cooper cries when he looks at Sonny Jim.

Just got another thought.  I apologize if this was already mentioned.  The red balloons may end up popped if and when all hell breaks out in Vegas.  Maybe there's a shootout at Dougie's workplace, bang bang!  Maybe the balloons just disappear and everything goes crazy - 911!

I better eat some breakfast.

I heard secondhand weeks ago that some theorized Janey-e and Sonny Jim to be "doppelgangers" of the 119 girl and her son. Didn't know what to make of it. I've been rooting for Janey-E and worried about Dale Cooper returning and Janey-E/Sonny Jim being left all alone--perhaps if Cooper goes to find unrequited love with Diane or Audrey.

But! There's a clue that Janey-E/Sonny Jim might be "manufactured": an owl. When the limo driver first takes "Mr. Jackpots" to the house, they stand outside forever. There's no sign of Janey-E until we hear an owl hoot. We see the owl fly over Dougie Cooper's head, and then suddenly we hear Janey-E's voice yelling from inside and she comes out the door.

So I'm wondering if she could be just as "manufactured" as the original Dougie who slept with prostitutes. But I do love her character. She's my favorite new female character (Carl and Bushnell win the male category). As for her being immoral or something by not helping dribbling Dougie some more, well, both she and Bushnell know Dougie was supposedly in a car accident years ago and has episodes from time to time.

Whatever the case, Dale Cooper returns outside of Las Vegas, I rather doubt we'll know what happens to Janey-E............ Or maybe she and Sonny Jim are the double header. Maybe their deaths could help revive Cooper? It would certainly give us the audience an emotional jolt, because they're rather lovable characters.

yep... something strange is happenning in Vegas... If Janey-E was manufactured... Mike dosn't know about Dougie. Why he would manufactured Janey-E? was the White Lodge?

Somthing strange is happening there... the owl, the red door, inside that house is all too yellow... and like the traffic lights (and that is a classic shot from the series)  the yellow is a warnig for "change of state"... you will stop or keep going...

And I noticed something else in that house address."Lancelot Court 25140"

About Lancelot..Queen Geneva, the wife of King Arthur, is kidnapped and several knights must come to free her from her rapist. To succeed Lancelot has to perform some feats and sacrifices, which are evidence of his initiation process. Lancelot gets into a wagon, in order to save his lady. When he gets into the cart he loses his honor and becomes an outcast according to the code of the cavalry. But it is the same code that demands a sacrifice for his lady.

In addition, the work itself is a Christlike allegory, for, in saving the queen, Lancelot restores the balance of the world. Likewise, Christian values have been mentioned in Lancelot's attitude: humility, submission and personal sacrifice.

and what about King Arthur...He was buried in Glastonbury... the monks of Glastonbury found the grave... an excavation founds a stone inscribed "here lies King Arthur" Below the stones they found bones of a large man (Arthur) and a smaller skeleton ((his wife)

and what about "25140"?

2+5+=7 ----- 14=7+7---- 25140= 777 Jackpot! and reminds of "253 time and time again" 2+5=7 --x3--- 777

So... maybe the black Lodge is involved...
