I dont know who can it be... but the color of the car that Coop/MrC is driving in that promo video is black... and has to be a Lincoln (maybe an FBI car) There's some Lincoln references in the Show

Hi Martin,

And, Mr C was driving a black Lincoln when he had his wreck.  😉

Then there's the original teaser that doesn't show Coop in a car, but take a look:

That looks like the ol' Coop to me. In the other trailer it's difficult to determine what kind of auto he's driving:

His countenance though . . .

Hi Caoimhin,

Yes, the countenance.  Of, course, all of us are just speculating here, but in both cases it looks like Mr. C to me.

Just look at how the corners of MacLachlan's mouth are down-turned in that first clip.  I've never seen Special Agent Dale Cooper look like that.  Mr. C though?  Plenty.

😉

I can't make out much from the trailers, but on watching Ep. 13 a thought struck me. Mr. C has a very deep tan, very evident while his hand is grasping Renzo's. He may cut his hair and change into a black suit, but what about the tan? Of course, Good Agent Cooper could have got a tan in 25 years, but I think it's the kind of thing that would make any old aquaintance of Dale's immediately suspicious. Not to mention his eyes and his behaviour, unless Mr. C is a really good actor (just like Kyle!).

No, I think Mr. C's arrival in Twin Peaks won't be an attempt to pass himself for Agent Cooper. Which means the man seen driving should be DougieCooper - though I won't even try to to guess how he manages to operate a car.

As for the original question - who tried to run Trick over? - I think it could go either way, given the confusion between future and past. Maybe it will turn out to be just a throwaway line to highlight how dangerous Twin Peaks has become.
