Did anyone else get the impression that this scene was more about David Lynch's frustration with working with the corporate suits that try and "tweak" his art to be more profitable? That's what it said to me, particularly his difficulties in getting this thing aired.

I think he is going to tie it in more with the goodness and wholesomeness of mom and pop /small town America, genuine good people vs. corporate America taking over and giving everyone a very bland product, devoid of love and that small one on one connection that Norma has with the people who buy her pies.

It shows that this corporate evil thats taking over the world is a result of the experiment/Mother's evil vomit.

I believe this scene takes place before Bobby encounters the crazy screaming lady and puking girl in the car. The result of Norma giving in to the evil may result in goodness leaving Twin Peaks.

I think a good slice of Norma's Cherry Pie is just what Dougie/Dale needs.

The Suit wants to create the Cherry Pie Doppelganger.

No, I think "he tweaks his art" all right.
