Could "Candie" be Diane and Mr. C's daughter, perhaps originally named Linda, and then orphaned and picked up by the Mitchums?? I've got absolutely no corroborating evidence for this theory. Just trying to think of who in the show so far could possibly be Linda and/or Diane's daughter. (The name "Linda" thrown out in the Carl Mobile must've been a red herring methinks.)

Wait a minute. It's 100% hypothetical that Diane even had a daughter. Ahh!! I'm goin nuts.

That's  great theory.  I keep assuming that Linda is a trailer park resident, but she certainly could be Candie.  Candie seems to be a benevolent character, and she may be helping to protect Coop.  The girls' names, Candie, Mandie & Sandie could be names given to them by the Mitchums when they became the "pink showgirls".   Candie could be part of the Saving Agent Cooper team.

I have seen it mentioned that all three names, Candie, Mandie, and Sandie have the letters D i a n e in them. Diane C, Diane M, Diane S. No clue what it means, if anything, but they aren't spelled Candy, Mandy, or Sandy, for some specific Lynchian reason.

All 3 girls have their hair about the same length as Diane too.  They are more styled, and the color is different, but there is a similarity.

Great point about the i and e! And yeknow, M, S, and C are all included in Mister C.

Highly unlikely theory here: Maybe when Dougie Cooper goes to bed, he sleep walks and communicates to Diane while asleep--when a portal opens from the lodge to Earth for real Cooper, an inverse of his original trip into the Red Room. Highly unlikely, but still throwing it out there.

Yes, Albert and Gordon are classic together!

"Albert....the Cossacks are in Russia."

"Say please."

Hijack,

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, Albert."  😉

- /< /\ /> -

Or... the best lines in the entire show, so far:

Fuck you, Gene Kelly!  Motherfucker!

I loves me some Albert.

She's definitely pissed about something.

THIS MAY REQUIRE A SMALL CHANGE OF ATTITUDE ON YOUR PART, DIANE.

may be one of my top 10 favorite quotes of the season.

If Diane had 'special' feelings for Cooper... I think about that idea and start wondering about all kinds of scenarios. Coop sent her tons of messages, daily... I'm sure some made her LOL and some had her in tears. I wonder if she ever replied to some of his 'non-work related' messages. I wonder if he ever mentioned Annie to Diane. I can see where that might break Diane's heart and cause her to withdraw from the FBI for personal reasons. So, yes Diane may very well be pissed about something (maybe even as simple as not being included in the loop about Annie and Coop?) but I can't pass off the thought perhaps Diane's deep feelings for the Cooper she knew, is what drives her personal agenda now.

I've been reading discussions here since the beginning, but this is my first forum post.  I'd like to know if events in EP13 affected your thinking about who Diane is communicating with.  I think it is unlikely that she is working with Mr. C.  Mr. C asked Ray for the coordinates, as though he didn't have them yet.  Diane would have already provided the coordinates if they were working together.  It's possible that Mr. C might want to have coordinates from 2 sources, but that doesn't seem likely to me.

There have been multiple plots to get Mr. C back to the lodge.  I see Diane as wanting to undermine Mr. C. as a way to recover from whatever trauma he subjected her to in the past.  What do you think?

for Buttercup 😉
