Please tell me if I'm wrong about this. It seems to me that in episode 12 Diane finds that the coordinates from the photograph of Ruth's arm leads to the location of  Twin Peaks.  However when Albert is showing Gordan the photo of the coordinates, he indicates that the last few digits are smudged but numbers indicate a small town on the north..... At this point he is interrupted by Tammy bringing in the coffee. I would assume that if the coordinates represented Twin Peaks then this would of been mentioned by Albert, right? Not described as a small town in the north. Then conveniently interrupted. "What the heell!"

There's also a crap load of hints indicating Twin Peaks isnt what we thought it was or at least isn't that dark dreamy dreary wonderful beautiful world we where introduced to back in 1989.  The sound track music is also mysteriously missing for the most part.  And something is strangely off about the town Twin Peaks.

If Albert is acting like he isnt familiar with the Town of Twin Peaks then maybe he was never even there to begin with. Something is happening... and maybe someone is about to wake up.

Wouldnt it be something if the whole mystery that started this amazing show still hasn't been solved?  Think about what the show is about now.  It's theme is Bad Coop vs Good Coop.  What the HEELL!! What is this? the X men?  Batman vs Superman? I'm sure it's just to send everyone off  the tracks away from the True Mystery.  Who killed Laura Plamer?

"Do you know where dreams come from?"

"We all live inside a dream"

"I did not kill anybody"

"you need to wake up. Dont die. Dont die!"

"It's alright. I was having a bad dream anyways"

One thing is for sure. Someone is about to wake up. But who know's where or when.

I personally hope that the ending to all of this was somehow filmed all the way back in the 1990s. Wouldnt that be amazing. Aaaah

Coop wakes up and calls Harry. "I know who killed Laura Palmer".......

Think about that when watching the last five hours. Maybe someone in Twin Peaks is still the real killer. "Or is it easier thinking that a father would rape and murder his own daughter". Kinda strange that they found the killer although he wasnt really the killer. Sounds like a F'd up dream to me

Albert WAS in Twin Peaks Afbeeldingsresultaat voor Albert Rosenfield en Harry Truman and Diane does the coordinates + 2. Does this mean that she adds 2 to the 'smudged' last numbers on Ruth's arm?

Dale Cooper: Well if you don't want two black eyes on a regular basis I would suggest you make some kind of peace with rural life.
Albert Rosenfield: Great. After the square dance, maybe we can all take a hayride.

It will not be "it never happened, it was all a dream." D. Lynch doesn't do such cliches.

Personally I think you've misinterpreted the scene and read far too much into it. Of course he's been to twin peaks. I don't think we need to assume some alternative timeline is taking place here.

Two obvious ways of looking at this:

Albert isn't a photographic memory genius. He's not going to know the exact coordinates of every town in the USA but he can hazard a guess about the rough location. I.e. a town in the north of the US. There are many, many towns in the north US.

Or, he knows it refers to Twin Peaks and is playfully (dead pan) telling Cole the obvious without stating it. We all know what he means when he refers to a town in the north, so Gordon should as well.

Assuming their paths cross, it will be interesting to see how Albert treats Andy and Lucy.

( original TP ) Andy: "...only blood squirted out."

Albert to Coop: "Where do they keep his water dish?"

I would love to see an encounter between Wally Brando and Albert Rosenfeld.

I was thinking that Albert was feeding Diane misinformation, but the idea of all of the action ultimately converging on Twin Peaks feels right. Maybe Albert was going to crack a joke as he revealed the information. But why did he stop short when Dave and Tammy came in? You might think it would be because Dave doesn't have the right clearance or something, but I am pretty sure his department has Ruth's body, with the coordinates on it (he confirms her identity). So maybe Albert was going to lie to mislead Diane, but didn't doctor the photo. Or maybe we are thinking about this one too much 🙂

I think he didn't want to give Diane confirmation that it was Twin Peaks. He had just caught her peeking at the photo of the coordinates on Ruth's arm. We as viewers know the significance of Twin Peaks but perhaps there are a lot of things about Blue Rose & Twin Peaks that Diane is unaware of.

Albert WAS in Twin Peaks unless this has all been a deductive technique Cooper picked up while visiting Tibet and most of the show, if not all the show, has been a dream that we all live inside.  "Who do you think this is here?" as he points to Coop.

It seems to me that Agent Cooper main method of solving cases has to do with interpreting his own dreams. "It came to me in a dream Harry".

As bizarre and wonderful as this show has been I think it would be crazy not to think this may all be a dream Coop is having.  Dreams segway as a norm and this Twin Peaks story seems to be going way off topic. Glitches are happening in the show such as Big Ed's shadow, Bobby says something to Ed at the RR however his mouth says something totally different, I dont even want to start typing about Sarah.

"Wake up wake up. Dont die dont die! " obviously Coop is going to wake up right?

" Is it future or is it past?" Maybe it's past.

Let's all admit that the best story line of this show was Who killed Laura Palmer? Without that Twin Peaks wouldnt have made it through one season. Yes it's a huge stretch but maybe just maybe that's why this season, even though still amazing, seems to have no real purpose. "Black Lodge! White Lodge! What's the big deal man?"

Here's something else to think about. Why is Laura Palmer so important in the show still. The murder has be solved right? Or has it?

I'll end my unlikely scenario with the character that's true to all the answers.

"Laura is the one Hawk. Laura is the one."

"There's something missing"

If you take all of the log ladies opening monologues from the first two seasons and play them in reverse and then repeat the sounds you hear yourself while being recorded. Then take that recording and play it back in reverse. Listen very closely and you will hear yourself say

Nothing is as it seems........the owls are not what they seem

Really? Do you have a recording as per your example to show us what you mean?

I think the OP was implying that there is no literal Twin Peaks as we've seen it, therefore nobody can have been there. I don't think it's a correct theory but I think that's what he meant.
