I am not convinced she is posessed. She was always pretty out there, always had visions, always on the edge. And maybe she swollowed the frog bug...

AND- she has to be just about the most broken person ever. How is she still living in that house!?!

Apparently by subsisting on a diet of bloody mary's and salem cigarettes. You're so right; deep trauma impacts the brain in such a devastating way. They really showed how horrifying her experience has been, and that she's had to live with it. In a way, though, she'd have to stay there, if she can't let go of her memories. Everyone she ever loved is connected to her by that house; although so are so many tragic and nightmarish memories.

Yes, she is a deeply traumatized woman, whether or not she is also the girl from episode 8.

The beef jerky logo as a substitute for The Experiment feels like a reach, but it could be the case.

The first thing I thought of was her watching the brutal animal TV show where the tigers(?) savage the other animal for its meat.

When human beings savage each other that's what we're reduced to: carved beef. Not pretty.

As someone with experience with ghosts/spirits, I'd say there's a fair chance the fictional Palmer house is haunted or infected. Could be Leland, Maddy, or a squad of lumberjacks. You'd need a whole crew of mediums to clean out the bad energy in real life probably.

I think Sarah was the teenaged girl who swallowed the bug because she said "Something happened to me...something happened to me!"  She didn't say, "My daughter was killed!" Or,  "I lost my child!"

Hawk visits: the ceiling fan is on ( ! ). He notices some of the strange things she says ( as well as the noise: "is someone else here?" "just something in the kitchen." )

That the ceiling fan is ON plus our attention is directed to it via the sound (pay attention to the sounds!) to me is a clear warning that something extra-ordinary is present. Sarah's behaviour could be explained away, but not that fan!

Oh mairzy doats and dozy doats
And little lambsy dyvy,
A kiddle-dee-dyvy too,
Wouldn't you?

All over again 😀

Actually.. it's

mares eat oats

and does eat oats

and little lambs eat ivy. . .

A kid will eat ivy too, wouldn't you?

I think the nonsensical version posted makes much more sense ??

Below is a copy of Hawk's map.

The corn is multiplied and according to Hawk it represents fertility. If the color is black, as in Black Lodge it is bad.

Richard is an example of a bad seed from the Black Lodge, spawned by Bob. We see this clearly in the scene where Richard kills the boy in the crosswalk. It is a reference to story told about the Black and White lodges. Prior to the boy being run down by Richard he and his mother were running through a park, frolicking and playing.

The story of the Lodges:

Once upon a time, there was a place of great goodness, called the White Lodge. Gentle fawns gamboled there amidst happy, laughing spirits. The sounds of innocence and joy filled the air. And when it rained, it rained sweet nectar that infused one's heart with a desire to live life in truth and beauty. Generally speaking, a ghastly place, reeking of virtue's sour smell. Engorged with the whispered prayers of kneeling mothers, mewling newborns, and fools, young and old, compelled to do good without reason ... But, I am happy to point out that our story does not end in this wretched place of saccharine excess. For there's another place, its opposite:"

Hawk's map shows an image of what looks like a turkey, the kind that kids draw by tracing around their hands. Laura Palmer told James that she was gone like a turkey in the corn prior to her running into the woods in the movie, Firewalk With Me. If memory serves correctly, this was the night she died.

There is the symbolism of the fire and the black smoke, a reference to the Black Lodge / an interdimensional portal.

Twin Peaks is on the map, but not visible in this cropped image.

The only thing that multiplies faster than Black Corn in Twin Peaks may be the Chocolate Bunnies.

I think it's about the smoked turkey jerky and the chocolate bunnies. The aliens have landed.

Or the amount of straws Twin Peaks grasp when searching for clues & hidden meaning  😉

1942 is the year Don S. Davis,  the actor who plays Major Garland Briggs was born.

And there's the logo. The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost shows the logo of a book by Dr. Jacoby seen through the red/blue glass lenses. One of the logos is a red owl that represents FreeMasonry, the All Seing Eye. Red may also represent aliens.

http://twinpeaks.wikia.com/wiki/The_Secret_History_of_Twin_Peaks

The turkey jerkey is red and has the V shape. Without Dr. Jacoby's glasses it would be hard to know what the logo actually says. The red and blue lenses yield different results when you look through them. Red suppresses logic and blue supresses intuition.

"Were you here when they first came?" seems like a callback to ep 8. And suggests that Sarah has a bug frog inside her.
