Yeeeeeeeah.
At least I refer to the main character of Twin Peaks as Dougie Jones, I am well aware that he is actually Dale Cooper, but by our perception and that alone.
For now.
I'm utterly confused. Sophistry?
Not in the slightest, I'm really sorry if I expressed myself a bit wrong.
It's all good. I've been engaged in quite a few discussions with folks that still think Dougie is Dougie and Cooper is somewhere else. I'm interested in your original post and am enjoying this thread. Just didn't want to see it derailed.
I don't believe there can be a standoff between the two Coopers in the physical universe. They can be in the Lodges together but they can't be in the world together.
To clarify one of my previous posts:
The problem is that they ARE in our physical universe together. Dale Cooper's "soul" didn't inhabit Dougie's physical body, their physical bodies traded locations. That is why it's a unique phenomenon in the Twin Peaks universe (as far as I know). There is an imbalance now and it seems to be partly responsible for all the odd behaviors and happenings in Twin Peaks.
That is partly why I find the OP such an interesting idea worth exploring: if Mr C shows up at Twin Peaks playing the role of Cooper, fully, he's going to throw wrenches in their investigation.
