A lot of folks have been wringing their hands over the lack of Audrey in the new Twin Peaks, to the point that it's made me feel a little bad for Everett McGill.

Anyone here looking forward to seeing the return of Big Ed? I am. When the deputy mentioned Big Ed's Gas Farm in Part 11, I got hopeful for a moment. Alas, it was not to be.

When do you think he'll make an appearance?

Thing is, holding back characters such as Audrey and Big Ed sort of builds-up an expectation for them. But what if they just show up briefly in an episode, and that's it? Kind of like Mike Nelson. Poor Gary Hershberger has had, what, one scene in 11 episodes?

I think hawk will need all the help he can get from trusted bookhouse boys.

Remember McGill is an important actor for lynch, so I'm sure he'll get some decent screen time soon!

Here's hoping anyway 🙂

I know IMDB can't be trusted right now but from McGill's page it looks like once he shows up, it's all Big Ed, all the time for the rest of the series.

I remember during one of the preview clips I saw Big Ed sitting at a table or desk looking down. Didn't give a whole lot away.

Dana Ashbrook slipped up in a chat post ComicCon panel that Bobbys first filmed  scene back was with Ed.  Since we haven't seen that scene, but have seen quite a bit of Bobby... makes me wonder if that scene was cut or just filmed out of order

On big productions filming is rarely done in order. Usually in order to optimize weather for outdoor shots and on access to locations.

Just about enough parts left to spend about as much time in Twin Peaks as in the first season.

It's such a pity he doesn't look much like a beard guy, otherwise it would have been so cool to show him for the the first time emerging from his garage all covered in oil, with the beard, so that we can mistake him for a woodsman and crap the pants out of our pants.

Maybe the Dana Ashbrook scene is about to be aired in the next episode, as Jessy just mentioned in the last one that there was some shooting in Big Ed's gas station and Bobby may go there to find out what's going on.

Maybe I got it wrong, but as far as I've understood Jesse was at Big Ed's gas farm and he heard shots, but those weren't there, he was talking about the shots in front of the Diner, so he rushed to the Diner to see what was going on. Once there he found Bobby who was off-duty, so he told Bobby that he (Jesse) could take over so that Bobby could go home/just do what he wanted on his day off. I think there wasn't any shooting at Big Ed's gas farm.

I wonder if Part 12 is going to bring back the Bookhouse Boys where Ed is introduced and he says "Let's Rock".

or

DoppleCoop says it before doing something horrible and menacing.

The nostalgic part of me really wants agent Rosenfield to get caught in a blubbery Big Ed conversation about why he and Nadine or Norma can't be together, complete with Albert's eye rolling and confused looking around 😀
