Does Diane's text message reply shed possible light on how Gordon/Albert/Tammy are going to proceed? Why did they not ask Hastings about the site Ruth found right away? Are they now staying at the Yankton hotel (?) to go to the site in the Black Hills the next day? Will Mr. C (and Diane/DarkDiane) follow them, so that he doesn't need coordinates (or a Glass Box) after all? Is The Farm in the Black Hills? Is The Farm connected to The Lodges?

I don't understand why Diane wouldn't have known that her texts might be tracked.

Maybe Mr C suspected they would be tracked while Diane is s bit more naive about it.

Albeit 'heavily encrypted', but indeed: Mr. C is mastering the situation, routing his messages via Philly and Mexico. That echoes how he totally hotwired Yankton prison and the car tracker.

Maybe she gathered that the text from Mr. C was so cryptic, they wouldn't figure out it was from him, and therefor they wouldn't bother to see what she replied.

She might want to be caught.

She might want to be caught.

Now that is an interesting idea.

If i recall correctly, didn't Diane plead with Gordon "we need to talk" after exiting the morgue? Perhaps she was seeking her own revenge on Mr C but is way over her head and knows it?

Interesting. She didn't plead, but she alluded to the fact (fairly casually) that a future conversation was required.

Where did you get the titles for episodes 11 and 12?  Amazing how those one-liners can conjure up so many images.

I'm digressing from your OP because I don't know the answer to those questions.  It would seem to me that if they know (and are monitoring) Diane's texts, that they'd use that to try and detain whoever she was communicating with in some sort of setup.  Which will probably go terribly wrong, since Evil Coop is not like anything they are prepared to meet.  Kind of odd that Diane would've been a top level FBI agent's personal secretary for decades and not have it cross her mind that texts she's receiving and sending in the company of Gordon might be looked at by prying eyes.

Looking at that rather ominous looking episode 11 title.  "There's fire where you are going".  God that sounds like something the Giant  (or "???????") would warn.  My first thought was that he will manifest somehow before Truman/Hawk/Bobby attempt to enter the lodge.  They've got to be warned about the dangers of interacting with lodge entities.

Or not.  Just ask Schroedinger.

Are we going paradoxical, or are my arms bending back?

Count me among those who quietly hope their is an "anthropic" element to this whole Twin Peaks universe.

I think most likely she has to play ball to Mr. C, but is aware that the FBI is on her back (aka, reading all her "correspondence"). I stand by what I said before, if Diane's "betraying" the FBI, she has her reasons. As Gordon puts it: "I've known since she gave me that hug". If you recall that scene, Diane tells Gordon she's gonna tell him but it's not time yet (maybe with some other words, but that is the message).

What's really great is going back and re-watching that scene, the look of absolute concern on Gordon's face as she hugs him.
