Didn't belong to David Lynch's universe at all. Anyone else with me on that?

He is neither scary (as Richard, Ike, etc), or funny (as Andy, Jerry, etc), or heartwarming (Janey-E, Lucy, etc.). He's just a bigger guy added to the guy from Prison Break. He also look like he will be out of character in a second, but wait, that's because he got no character at all.

OMG I so agree.

Hes so out of his element.  Lynch characters can be poor actors as long as they have some eccentricity to them...something interesting that makes them fit into the universe.

Chris Isaak...not a good actor...but he worked out perfectly.

Belushi is wallpaper.

Unfortunately Belushi served only to snap me out of Lynch Land and drop me uncomfortably into everyday reality.

Yeah, he feels very out of place.

Must admit, I found myself thinking that his late brother recreating his famous 'zit' scene with creamed corn would been a far more worthwhile contribution...

I hope that Dougie will get rid of those guys in the next episode with his cobra movements, because honestly, their arc is a filler. I can't see how is it connected with the big thing (as Ike-Mr.Todd-Mr.C), it seems like just another obstacle that drags time.

I agree with this. My only thought on connection, while I was watching, was perhaps Mr C used them instead of Mr Todd in the past. Todd makes a point of them being competition. It still doesn't add much to the story.

?  Really?  Even Eric From Sweden??

Yeah, maybe his lack of respect for the director shows through in the scenes.  Guy's an a-hole.

I mean now they are being used by Todd as a non direct hit on Dougie so they have a purpose...

...but he still sucks.

It does make me laugh that he got in trouble for ad libbing scenes when he can't even make the ones written for him interesting.

...and I thought Candy was pointless...too much time wasted on her.

Wait, I thought Lynch's comment was humorous (principal's office is funny).  Was it actually serious?  He was being told off in a somber way?

What I got from it was that Lynch was reprimanding him in a light hearted way...but still quite serious.

The script is written with care and Belushi adding lines or exaggerating a scene for his characters favor is probable not taken in a good light by a craftsman like Lynch.

He's always been awful, and in Twin Peaks he's no different.

Ouch!

?

Are people saying this because they know of the Jab Belushi made at the premiere?
