 Oh my. After concluding the series and re-watching the scene where Mr. C is talking to someone he assumes is Phillip Jeffries (about 36 minutes into episode 2), I'm certain he's talking to Mother/Judy. The voice says, "I missed you in New York," which seems so obvious now, since we saw the photos Gordon and Albert had of Mr. C at the glass box, and this conversation occurs just one episode after the slaughter there! The voice also has that detached, matter-of-fact way of speaking like Sarah Palmer does when she's fully possessed (think the trucker scene). It also says, "And I will be with BOB again." Who else has been with BOB? Not Jeffries. Not Desmond. Leland's dead. That leaves MIKE, who we all remember, after living with BOB for years above the convenience store, cut off his possessed arm and swore to fight against BOB. We know MIKE is helping Dougie, but do you remember what the tattoo on his arm said?
MOM.

You may want to move this over to the Pt 17/18 page so that others can see it. Not many are checking here, now.

Leland may be dead, but he is present in the Red Room. Remember, he tells Cooper: "Find Laura". However, I cannot think of any good reason why Leland would want to be with Bob again, so I think Mr C is probably talking to the 'glass box phantom' (we don't know for sure that it is Mother/Judy).

This scene raises other questions for me:
Why is Mr C attempting to communicate with Phillip Jeffries;
Why would Phillip Jeffries want to talk to Mr C?

Because he's pretending to be Cooper.
