Hi! Original TP fan here. I remember when I watched classic TP, I even recollect an evening I spent at a hospital for a minor illness and we were all gathered in front of a TV to watch the latest TP. This is to say how popular TP was at the time in Italy.

When word came around that there would be a third season, I re-watched seasons 1-2, and watched FWWM for the first time. I found season 2 a bit meh (always hated James and Donna, sorry but I just could not relate to them even though I was only a bit older than them). I realized that in 25 years I had totally forgotten about Dick Tremayne and Jerry Horne, and remembered with much distaste John Justice Wheeler. (Never been a fan of Billy Zane, I thought he was the worst part of Titanic, which I loved, alas.)

Now, as I'm entering my fifties, I love FWWM and The Missing Pieces. I love the whole theory that Laura preferred to die rather than being possessed by BOB.

I also mean to purchase the action figures so that I can have BOB. I love The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer because I can relate to her as to teenage depression. Luckily I was never abused or did drugs, but for me BOB always represented my desperation. Having a little BOB would mean having overcome my depression. If I ever do it, I'll send you a pic.

Thanks to the forum admins and the residents. I don't know whether I'll ever write something (so many more knowledgeable people in here) but I'll try. This place is even better than, say, the A.V. Club; no trolls and lots of nice people. Hope I'll see you here.

Many humble thanks, Bruno. I love it that TP resonates with another generation. I believe it's precisely the beauty of the story.

All of us, regardless of age, are in the waiting room together. All of our stories relate. It's wonderful to share this space and time with everyone here.

Let's  rock ?

I'm Mad Sweeney. I've lurked here for a few days and now I've joined. 🙂

This is one of the most civil discussion boards I've ever seen.

Yeah, well as I mentioned earlier, just keep Pieter away from the loopy juice.  He's a mean drunk. 😉

Hi, I'm Bela, 27, from Brazil (São Paulo, to be precise). I'm a musician!

The original run of Twin Peaks started 3 days before I was born, so I literally just missed it. I binge-watched it during holidays in 2011, though. I was introduced to Lynch through Mulholland Drive at 13 years old (my older siblings rented it) and was absolutely mind blown, so even though it took me some time to see the series, I was already a Lynch-geek when I did watch it.

The Return has been even more mind-blowing and I just can't get enough of the narrative depths of each amazing episode. Thank you, Lynch & Frost! Having grown up during the rise of the internet, however, I felt so empty after watching eps. 1-4 and having no one to discuss it with! Thankfully, I found this great, civil forum full of nice people. Glad to be here!

I'll have that slice of pie, thanks.

Hiya, my name's BOB and I've got the greatest omnipotent mother in the world(s). She's also really non mainstream and cool because she actually encourages me to play with fire.

I like nothing more than finding souls that have been weakened by the unsavoury temptations of life and then playing really fun games with them. You could say that I'm born of a nuclear family, and I also really like destroying nuclear families.

I also like denim.

I have an artist friend from your part of the world, São Paulo.

Dunno if she is watching Twin Peaks, though; I'll have to ask, it's exactly the sort of thing she enjoys.  Maybe get her on to this board, too.

That would be cool, Sam! Is she a visual artist?

Yes, she works with 3d models, making textures and pose sets for virtual human figures.

Greetings and Salutations. I'm Brandy and I am late to the introduction party.

I hail from the greater Seattle area and TP holds a very special place in my heart.  I used to work at the RR (MarT Cafe), hang out at the Great Northern (Salish/Snoqualmie Falls), and buy nickel candy from Big Eds (Preston Gas Station). I was there for the first TP festival, serving pie and coffee and saw the back of Lynch's head at the premier of FWWM. I was also accused once of killing Laura Palmer.

I have never looked at TP terribly analytically until the last few months.  This forum has been a huge eye opener and godsend and I am eternally grateful to all the contributors here.  I don't know where I would be without you all. I'm pretty sure if I might get fired over this forum.

If you are ever in this neck of the woods, let me show you around.

Also, we should take Pieter out to the Bang Bang (Fall City Roadhouse) for a pint or 2 and see if what Deputy Sam says is true.

BTW, if you are ever looking for Billy, he's probably at my house. Bing isn't allowed here anymore since he drank all my beer.
