H, I'm William. I work as a researcher/journalist in the TV industry in the Netherlands. And I consider Twin Peaks to be the summit of what TV can accomplish when it marries cinema.

Howdy!  I'm Samuel Xavier Therapy, from Wath Upon Dearne, in England, UK.

Semi retired graphic designer, guitarist and singer.  Also professional contrarian, father of two young children, which is hard work because I became a first time dad at 50.  And no, I didn't adopt.  My long-suffering wife is considerably younger, and has a full time job keeping the kids and me in line, along with 8 cats.

I think Twin Peaks is the best thing to happen to television, ever and Episode 8 is the best part of Twin Peaks so far.  Anyone who disagrees can fuck right off  is entitled to their opinion.

Many thanks to Pieter for creating this great site and for adding this forum.  You're a star.  I don't mean that literally; I mean, I'm certain you're not a huge burning ball of gas.  Probably.

Hi I'm Sam and I'm a civil servant from Belfast in Northern Ireland. Old enough to have watched twin peaks when it first aired, young enough not to have understood it at the time.

Hi there, I'm Micah! Same as Sam - old enough to have watched it when I was pretty young and but not understand it. . . but it absolutely left an indelible mark on me. Did creative writing for a time and it was interesting to (without realizing it) find similar themes/motif's pop up. . . only realized it on re-watch when I was bit older how deep the images and ideas had embedded themselves in my consciousness.

Twin Peaks was always my favorite show. . . I did a(nother) rewatch a couple of years ago and realized that, while there were parts I didn't find as amazeballs as I remembered, the parts that absolutely blew me away were the episodes that Lynch directed. When I found out the new season was going to be 100% Lynch it pretty much was the best present ever. And it hasn't disappointed in the least...

Thanks so much to Pieter for keeping the fire burning all these years. Truly a gift for all the Twin Peaks fans old and new. Xie Xie!!!

Hi my name is Gary, originally from Northern Ireland but have been in Kent, England for (too) many years now.

Used to teach but I'm currently looking for a new calling (or any job really at this point!)

I was a bit young for Twin Peaks when it originally aired but I found the DVD boxsets about 10 years ago and was absolutely hooked.

Mark from Richmond, California here. Semi-retired musician (work in home studio now). Watched original TP with my ex-wife...Diane. One of my uncles was, in fact....an FBI agent. Once met Michael Horse, who is a really centered and gentle man. The detail in TPR is mind-blowing-would really recommend DL's setup: sitting very close to a larger flat-screen with headphones on....yow!

My name is Ela, I'm Polish living in UK, being French teacher/tutor. Quite international setting and this is what I always wanted:)

During the first broadcast of Twin Peaks I was too young to comprehend anything, I wasn't even allowed to watch it, but because everybody was watching it I have some memory about the the ominous music, Laura's homecoming picture and special agent Dale Cooper. Few years later, I was in my early or mid teens when some polish tv rerun it and... for me it was beautiful nightmare! Bob has been hunting me for these days actually! The most scary being I ever saw yet I always wanted more. I don't know if there are other Polish people there but there was a song of a band called HEY named Heledore Babe that was definetely inspired by Twin Peaks. It's about a strange girl called Josie(coincidence? Don't think so) who's scared since she saw... Bob Cooper's face(!). Funny thing cause this Bob Cooper thing actually makes sense NOW:) I would recommed to you guys check this song out, it's really good and deep 90' s (with english lyrics)

Anyways, I kinda agree with Guardian article being referenced at this forum. I think I'm in similar age to the autor's and I enjoy new TP even more than the original one cause I am now adult. Obviously I rewatched first seasons and FWWM many times yet the first impression that counts forever, was an absolute horror. Now I'm more mature with more analytical and intellectual approach which made Twin Peaks the Return my proper obsession again!

It is so nice to have you Guys here! Pleased to meet you and to to have all these interesting conversations with you!

Oops, forgot to do the intro bit!
Hi, I'm Lynn & I live in Dundee, Scotland.  I watched Twin Peaks back when it first aired - I was supposed to be doing a PhD on mosquito behaviour, but TP was so much more interesting!  🙂

Helloooooooooo..

I'm Spyros and i live in Greece!

Twin Peaks is the most amazing TV show ever. My favorite by far!

I loved the 1st 2 seasons and i'm loving the return as well! I find this season quite different from the previous ones but fantastic as well.

I'm 27 and i first watched TP 5 years ago, since then i've watched it multiple times and was so hyped(still i am) when they announced The Return of TP.

My favorite characters are Coop (of course) also i love Kyle's acting!

Audrey is my favorite female character ever! I'm totally in love with Audrey! Also Sherilyn in those years is the most beautiful gal i've ever seen! She still is a beautiful woman!

Cole too is one of my very favorite ones, although not so much tv screen in the first seasons he is so awesome! Glad that Lynch is more involved as Gordon now!

Well, nice too meet you all and let's enjoy the return with some damn fine coffee and cherry pies!

This is so weird ! I spent many, many years in Wath upon Dearne, practicing with my band up on Park Road. Crazy to see what a small world we live in. My Grandad is the caretaker of the town centre. I live just across the river, in Conisbrough. (Or at least that is my home, I am at Uni in Sheffield).

My name is Joshua, I am from the United Kingdom, a little village called Conisbrough. I am currently studying History at the University of Sheffield, with an interesting in anything from the turn of the first millennia to the Early Modern period. My focus has always been cultural integration between culture forces and the state, a quick example would be the study of how religion might effect rule of State etc... As a side of this, I have become a pseudo-expert on symbolism and art, and one reason I love Twin Peaks is the hardcore surrealist/Mannerist depictions, which no TV show or Movie has ever been capable of quantifying on the big screen.

Outside of Twin Peaks, my main hobbies are probably record collecting and writing my own music. I'm part of a great Psychedelic-style band and it's always fun to jam with them.

I have an undying love for seasons 1 and 2, and the film. But in my honest opinion, season 3 is the best work Lynch has carried out. But I also find that season 3 only works with the rest of the cannon behind it. I view Twin Peaks as an epic saga, rather than self contained seasons with self contained episodes. I wouldn't be able to pin down a favourite character. There is something quite legendary about Agent Dale Cooper, but every character is so rich and deep in their creation that I love them all, even the characters that I hate. (Chet, Leo, Hank etc.)

Happy posting.

Small world but I wouldn't want to paint it.  Have some friends and a former work colleague in Conisborough.

We should get together for a jam some time.  I have a fondness for Bowie, Bolan, Talking Heads and Killing Joke.  A whole lot more, too but the entire list would fill the forum.  🙂

Hi, my name is Colin and I live in New Zealand. I am a coach of software teams. I write short stories, poetry and make short film of them. I do improvisation, which helps my work.

I was introduced to Lynch with Blue Velvet in '89 and given a copy of the TP pilot by someone who worked at Warner Bros. She said, 'I think you might like this.' N.B. Single quotes are the std for speech marks here in NZ. 😉 Like Blue Velvet and Eraserhead which I watched in between, and lent to a work colleague who had a dinner party and not knowing what it was about decided they watch it. He arrived on the Monday with, possibly the very first WTF face.

I've loved Lynch ever since, done TM, and Vipassana meditation, including silent 10 retreat. His book, Catching the Big Fish got me writing, Inland Empire got me filming, well and sent me slightly more crazy.

I'm loving the Return. I've never been so disturbed as I was seeing Laura being murdered in the train car, with a couple of strobed shots looking like she was smiling. Really disturbing...

oh, and by the way, imho this site is the best of the Twin Peaks forums / pages, such a respectful group of people, wonderful discourse. Thank you all.
