Laura Palmer and James Hurley's heart necklace makes a perfect Valentine's Day gift for Twin Peaks fans. The gold necklace costs only $7... and that's for both halves of the locket. If you're not going to wear it, then at least keep it safe in a coconut.
February 12 was the day Donna, James and Laura had their upbeat and carefree picnic. Together they ate, danced, laughed and enjoyed "one of the region's grandest views" of the peaks and the valley at Snoqualmie Point Park, 37580 SE Winery Road.
A movie version of the Twin Peaks television series is in the works and will be released to the public next month! The unofficial re-edit, called Northwest Passage just like the original series' working title, will come in HD and enhanced for widescreen.
The owls are not what they seem. Especially if they're wearing pasties. On Febuary 23th 2011, the eve of Laura Palmer's death 21 years ago, a burlesque tribute to Twin Peaks called "The Pink Room" will take place in the Lower East Side's Parkside Lounge.
Unfortunately, last week's lithos by David Lynch didn't find a buyer but here's more early art by the filmmaker up for auction already. This 14" by 14" abstract piece called "Garden" dates from 1970 and has a starting price of $399.
Vincent Iadevaia is a production artist at the New York based Barbarian Group, but most of all he's a Twin Peaks fan who just finished designing a beautiful set of unofficial Twin Peaks posters. Each typographic design is based on one of the three things Dale Cooper is told by the Giant.
Sucks not to be in L.A. on February 12th, because that's the opening date of the In The Trees exhibition celebrating 20 years of Twin Peaks. Place to be: Clifton's Brookdale in Los Angeles, California. It seems to me that the exhibition only lasts a weekend, which is a pity because there will be a truly unique collection of art by David Lynch, Grace Zabriskie, Richard Beymer, Glenn Barr, Tim Biskup, Scott Campbell, Amy Casey, Paul Chatem, Ryan Heshka, Stella Im Hultberg, Jessica Joslin, Alice Lodge, Chris Mars, Elizabeth McGrath, Margaret Meyer, Brooke Weston, Eric White & Ashley Wood.
Some of the folks at USA’s Psych are big fans of the offbeat, early ‘90s drama, Twin Peaks — such big fans that, after their well-received “Dual Spires” homage in December, they might pay homage to David Lynch’s surreal soap a second time.
A pair of rare, offset lithographic prints by David Lynch are currently on auction. What makes these pencil drawings part of film history is that they helped the debuting filmmaker fund Eraserhead back in 1973. They were sold cheaply so David could purchase more film stock for his cult movie in the making.
David Lynch's latest musical venture is officially out today on deluxe double vinyl, deluxe CD and as MP3 download. Both the original version of the catchy dance record "Good Day Today" and the darker "I Know" are included, as well as remixes by the hands of Underworld, Boys Noize, Diskjokke, Sasha, Simon Ratcliffe (one half of Basement Jaxx) and Jon Hopkins.
Fire (walk with me) is a 9-channel video installation by Sharon Bradley, showing continously looped establishing shots of the fireplaces in Twin Peaks. The Canadese video artist was inspired by "The Yule Log" television program which airs around Christmas since 1966 and shows a yule log burning in the fireplace for two up to four hours, to a soundtrack of classic Christmas music and without commercial interruption.
