This is a "must have" for any major Twin Peaks Fan. The book gives information about all the major attractions of the "town of Twin Peaks" mentioned in the series such as the Old Opera House, and how they relate to the charachters of Twin Peaks. There is even an exerpt from Andrew Packards will! There are also brief charachter sketches of the main charachters appearing in the television show. The book touches on the flaura, faua, and pasttimes of the natives, and even gives the recipe for that darn good cherry pie everyone on the show raves about. This book ties up many loose ends about the town and gives the TV series a sence of reality. It is highly recommended for Twin Peaks fans.
Unusual, quirky and asks more questions that it answers. Perfect guide to Twin Peaks

I decided to buy the welcome to twin peaks book because of it's cheap price. I found the book to be bemusing, contradicting the series. Its a visitors guide to Twin Peaks so you'll find extreme detail on irrelevant subjects like the opera house, and the saws at the packard mill. Perhaps you will find the content more interesting if you grew up outside of the NW (unlike myself). You will find witty jokes only a peaker would laugh at. Some of my friends got a huge kick out it. I recommend other Twin Peaks books, like the Diary of Laura Palmer. This is a quick read, coffee table book material.
I cannot seem to read this without a smile on my face. The back stories about the characters, places and town are, in my opinion, adorable. Twin Peaks has been a favorite show (and movie) of mine since the early 90's and when this book popped up in a search, it was a must have. :) Best little book in my collection.
