Exclusive “Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier” Audiobook Excerpt Reveals The Death Of A Character From The Original Series

Hear Albert Rosenfield's autopsy report on a character we haven't seen since 1991 in this excerpt from the audiobook version of Mark Frost's Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier.

With only a week left until the official release of Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier, Audible has listed the digital audio version in their extensive library. Just like on The Secret History of Twin Peaks, Annie Wersching reprises her role as (now) Blue Rose Task Force member Tamara Preston. No other voice actors have been confirmed.

Before the 3-hour audiobook becomes available on Halloween (midnight PST on October 31, 2017) —completely free for those who haven’t tried Audible yet— here’s an exclusive 150-second excerpt which reveals the tragic demise (and birth name) of a character from the original series by way of a priceless autopsy report by the always eloquent FBI Special Agent Albert Rosenfield.

  1. Scott Spencer says:

can you say “no great loss“, children?

    • Rob B. says:

I dunno, Scott. By the end of Season 2, Leo seems to be at least somewhat redeemable. After all, he frees the major and tells him to “Save Shelley” and he does at least try to resist Earle’s penchant for violence. Perhaps his brush with real evil could have, given time, changed his life.

      • Scott Spencer says:

        That’s a good argument, Rob. 🙂

        • Rob B. says:

Thanks, Scott. It would have been interesting, I think, for Leo to have been rescued. If I recall correctly, there was an outtake from the Season 2 finale that had Hawk discovering Earle’s cabin. Leo cried out and the spiders fell on him. But, as Albert indicates in this report, tarantula bites are generally not fatal.

  2. Mike Bennett says:

will it be coming to audible in the UK? I’ve asked them but they don’t seem to know.

  3. Rob B. says:

OK, so, any thoughts on who did the “good deed.” It can’t be Windom Earle; Leo was still clutching the cage over his head when Windom went into the Black Lodge. So, for me, the safe money is on Doppleganger Coop, though why he’d go to Earle’s cabin and kill Leo is beyond me.

Even hearing Tammy read these notes, I can hear Albert’s wonderful voice!

    • Rob B. says:

Yeah, his character is definitely in those words. He even used the term “knuckle-dragger,” a term that he applied to Sheriff Truman.
