Twin Peaks: Georgia Coffee commercials

With the release of Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery on Blu-ray, your Definitive Gold Box Edition suddenly doesn’t look so “definitive” anymore, does it? Even the DVD set‘s bonus features were transferred, often updated (to 1080p HD), and sometimes even extended for the Blu-ray release.

But wait!

For unknown reasons, a handful of extras didn’t make it to the Blu-ray box set. But you can now watch all “the missing pieces” of Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery below…

…with arguably the worst David Lynch impression ever.

Did you know Georgia’s sales double the sales of Coca-Cola in Japan?

The Rescue

It cannot get any more ’90s than this.

What didn’t make it to the Blu-ray either are the blue Artisan set’s audio commentaries by Duwayne Dunham, Frank Byers, Tina Rathbone, Lesli Linka Glatter, Tim Hunter, Robert Engels, Caleb Deschanel, Harley Peyton and Richard Hoover. Likely because David Lynch believes audio commentaries demystify the picture. The commentaries are not available online, but you can grab The First Season box for less than $20 on eBay.

  1. There is a sequence with Ben Horne that I can’t find on the set. You know, the one that wasn’t aired.

When I was looking through my Blu-ray discs, there were a couple minutes of promos from the Gold Box that I didn’t see….

They were the ones that played clips from the show with quotes from critics displayed on the screen. Did I just miss them on the blu-ray?

  3. Kaity says:

And to think, my grandma paid close to $70 for the original Definitive Gold Box so that I could have it for Christmas. Still worth every penny.

  4. Andrew says:

Were there any extras on the season 2 boxset?

  5. Tomas says:

The extras on the season 2 boxset were all included on the blu-ray. It’s the “Cast interviews” and “Crew interviews” on disc 6 or 7.

Just because I think this set should be an archive of all things Twin Peaks, I wish they had included the music video for “A real indication” from the Lime Green Set mystery disc. After all, it’s music from FWWM…

Hey, just a note from a Japanese-speaking fan: the order of the videos is a little mixed up. From the Japanese, the order should be:

    1. Lost
    2. Cherry Pie
    3. A Mystery of ‘G’
    4. Rescue

I think you’ll find the story makes much more sense that way, too. 🙂

  7. Scott says:

That’s why I kept my DVD’s and still bought the Blu-ray. I have owned this series four times, once on the VHS that had three episodes on them, then the VHS box set, then the DVD box set and now the Blu-ray. I love this show that much.
