Earlier, Welcome to Twin Peaks launched a single-serving site called What Would Albert Say? as a modest tribute to Miguel Ferrer. Today, as a special salute on his birthday, here’s a rare collection of outtakes starring the late actor as everyone’s favorite forensic pathologist.

In these alternate takes, Miguel Ferrer delivers several unscripted lines when Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs) and Mädchen Amick (Shelly Johnson) exit the interrogation room. The one that ended up in the episode is the instant classic, “Get a life, punk!” When he then updates Michael Ontkean (Sheriff Harry S. Truman) and Kyle MacLachlan (FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper) on Windom Earle’s latest shenanigans, you’ll notice some geographical differences between the script and what was eventually added as a voice-over to the insert shots.

“Good work, Albert!”
—Dale Cooper

The footage from the Diane Keaton-directed “Episode 22” which aired 26 years ago on February 9, 1991, was discovered by Jared Lyon and has never been shared before, except for a screening at the Twin Peaks Festival. So thank you, Jared!
