The Projection Booth - Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me podcast

In episode 136 of their weekly podcast about film, The Projection Booth discusses David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. More than one hour of the 220-minute deluxe episode released today is dedicated to interviews with Twin Peaks co-writer Bob Engels and the Man from Another Place, Michael J. Anderson.

Hearing Bob Engels say that he “didn’t know shit from shinola” about television writing alone is worth the listen, but the entire podcast is really entertaining with tons of sound snippets and interesting facts. Download it here or play it back straight from this page. And please do share your favorite parts and quotes in the comments.

There’s a Twin Peaks themed music segment at the end, which you can download separately here. Here’s the track listing:

  • Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me – Fantomas
  • Escape from the Black Lodge – Video Game Soundtrack

Kind of annoying that the hosts don’t know a lot about the show, and only review the movie.

  2. Renee says:

I found the woman really difficult to listen to I didnt sense a good chemistry between her and the other two men so it felt disjointed. She sounds almost like a teenager like and ya know and creepy are just sort off thrown around and repeated..frustrating!

  3. AC says:

There’s precious little commentary out there on the movie, so I was glad to hear this, though I didn’t necessarily agree with the hosts on the meanings. (and seriously? you *laugh* when Leland tells her to “wash her hands?” — that is one of the most disturbing scenes in the movie) Listening to the traffic scene I got goosebumps. I forgot how terrifying that scene was.
