As many Twin Peaks collectors know, the original LP editions of the Soundtrack from Twin Peaks and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me are rather hard to find and usually pretty expensive when they pop up on eBay. But Death Waltz Recording Company is here to help fans of the analog sound, as they are about to reissue both ’90s albums.

The Soundtrack from Twin Peaks will be pressed onto a red, cherry-colored vinyl. Angelo Badalamenti‘s soundtrack for the movie —the best soundtrack ever and not just according to me— will be released on a coffee-colored record. We all know Dale Cooper takes his coffee black as midnight on a moonless night, but let’s assume they won’t go for the standard color of vinyl and rather something brownish.

Expect a release date and photos of the David Lynch approved artwork soon. Label head Spencer Hickman assured us they’ll press enough copies to go round!

If there are any vinyl copies of the ’90s releases available on eBay, you’ll find them here. And for those wondering: the Season Two Music And More album has never been released on vinyl and there are currently no plans for such a release.

LATEST UPDATE (August 2016): The soundtrack from the TV series is out nowPick one up at your local record store in September, or pre-order for September delivery from Amazon, Amazon Canada, Amazon Germany, Amazon Japan, or Zavvi (UK and the rest of Europe). The Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me release, with liner notes from Mark Kermode, is expected before Christmas 2016.

Great, I’ll be getting these. They should really be doing season 2 on LP as well, though.
There are many copies of the original in the 20-50 dollar/euro range on discogs. The Fire Walk With Me record though is way more.

So awesome….the downside….every douche who shops at urban outfitters will now own this.

@JD get over your elitist BS. seriously. that’s so tired and obnoxious. hipsters…

  3. @ICS what’s a hipster?

This is awesome!!!!! I got the original soundtrack on tape when it first came out, and the “Diane” tape too (yes, cassettes, I’m that old). Still have those. Thanks so much for being awesome. Will definitely be adding these to my record collection. Cheers

This is great news! Very excited to hear about this reissue!
Definitly getting my hands on a copy.
They sound like they will look really cool. I wonder if the brown recored will be swirled with lighter streaks of brown.
Keep up the wonderful updates 🙂

  7. It is now September, and I have not yet seen a release date.

  8. Chris says:

Will these be analog transfers or are they just pressing digital matters onto vinyl?

  9. Sean says:

The Season 2 CD can still be purchased directly from the label, copies on Amazon are priced way too high from 3rd party sellers.

  14. Mark says:

Any updates on these?!?!? Been waiting so long!!!!

  15. mrkrinkle says:

I’m dying to see the artwork!

  16. Pete says:

i totally get why its taking so long for this to get released. There is only….7 or 8? yeah, 7 or 8 record pressing facilities in the world. Most are VERY old and nobody really makes parts for them anymore, and they’re not it “tip top shape”. most of the pressing facilities are backed up for months to years because everyone and their grandmother are sending their stuff to get pressed (and these facilities are literally running 24 hours a day). Everyone from WB to Capitol to Death Waltz. Every release takes awhile, and I suppose with death waltz’s perfectionism on the mix (which I’m very happy about, I like good sound), its gonna take awhile. Hopefully I can get it in time for 2016 or even christmas!

  17. Coop says:

    Uhhhh….. Last year huh…
