When Boite, a group of Stockholm-based creatives, heard about the Twin Peaks Stockholm Festival, they decided to create a video installation especially for the occasion. A two-minute loop was produced from the surreal Black Lodge scenes, adding extra flashes, scratches and flicker. For an improved retro effect, Boite exported the loop to VHS and then digitized it again.
At the festival’s WOW BOB WOW art exhibit, the loop was played from different starting points on three old television sets gathered from dumpsters. Here’s how that looked:
