Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me As A Movie Barcode

On Laura Palmer's birthday, I recreated her famous prom photo using thousands of still frames from the pilot episode. In the same fashion, but with a completely abstract outcome instead, someone compressed every single frame of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me into a single picture.

Moviebarcode is a Tumblr that shares ‘barcodes’ by taking every single movie frame, resizing it to one pixel wide and then lining them all up. The result is like the color DNA of a movie.

Here’s the compressed image generated for Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Notice the blue static intro to the left, and the stretched, red curtains in the middle and towards the end.

Prints are available.
