I wonder if Mark Lynch couldn't be coaxed to write an episode of Black Mirror. Not sure David would direct anything that isn't his own show, but maybe if it were super special.

By the way, I just saw the series finale of Grimm (I know, it's years after, but it was just made a part of Amazon Prime) and it was riveting. The whole series wasn't that riveting, although it was watchable--but the finale knocked my socks off.

Oh damn, I loved Grimm!

David could certainly make it his own since they are all independent stories although he may not be techie enough. Maybe his kids could write it with him.  ?

So I like having things that are remotely interesting, playing in the background while I write, research...

I decide to give Stranger Things a try...completely unaffected by it and it barely held my attention until about 10 minutes left.  OK so now I am screwed, at least for a few more episodes.

Not too happy that they ripped of the x-files theme though.

Allusion and homage are Stranger Things' bread and butter. If the new Twin Peaks carries an anti-nostalgia thesis, Stranger Things is pretty much the polar opposite of that. But, I enjoyed it.

The future of watching Television is here!  I am new to this Roku thing but it's pretty damn amazing so far!  I just need to get some sports things worked out and I am cutting the cord, for good.  Which is a strange colloquialism, seems how it still has not only 1 but 2 cords...

Finished the first season of Stranger Things, It was highly enjoyable in a organized story structure sort of way,  I thought the sound was pretty amazing as well, I think they may have overdone the the homage to Steven King, even calling him out by name in case you needed to be hit over the head with it.

A lot like a modern fairy tale...

Thanx to everyone for the recommendation, off to start on "Dark" now...

liking, or looking?  Either way - The Fall -- is excellent.  Irish/Scottish, a little macabre, but nobody anywhere could call it stupid.  And I like that.

Lol looking. I should just give up trying to respond on my phone. It never turns out well....I'd it turns out at all.

Where should I look for The Fall?

Ha!   I started on Riverdale because some review said it was Twin Peaks with more pop and mainstream mixed with an Archie comic...They were kind of right, it is an Archie Comic.

Not judging at all, really not...I mean I personally have "Weird Science" in my top 5 all time movies so we all get a guilty pleasure or 2.  I just couldn't stomach more than 30 minutes of the kitsch and teen age (fake) angst.

Oh, and I wish I could get the original version of Dark and read subtitles, the really bad overdubs are throwing me off, but other than that I enjoy the suspense so far.

Ok, I don't really apologize. It is very TP with a comic book twist and a more mainstream mentality.  I mean, Shelley is in it, how can it be totally wrong?  It's goofy, but it's kind of ok too.

Wow, I just watched a film called The Evil Within.  The filmmaker appears to be a Lynch fan and while not spot on per se, it definitely has its own appeal.  Really well done.  One of those where if you're into it, you almost start to feel your own sanity tested.  I thought Pontypool had that effect too.  Of course nothing quite gets there like Baskin...

I will check it out.

Been watching The Fall.  Not really grabbing me, but watchable.  What drew you to this show?
