Yep !
It was the sunday just before 4th of July and Showtime aired no episode.
TWO WEEKS WITHOUT TWIN PEAKS !
How can we have survived ?
And just one week before, the incrediblevelous episode 8 was aired.
I remember have watching twice again episode 8 on this no-TP-sunday.
(in fact it was monday here in France. Season 3 was broadcasted one day after USA and UK to be quickly subtitled)

Yes. I think it worked in a way. They really wanted us to soak in Part 8. Perhaps we can see the lack of episode that day as a pause in time before all the time looping began.
