I finally rewatched Fire Walk with Me the right way, (headphones on, eyes glued to the screen instead of working on something else, subtitles that don't lag) and wow bob wow did I miss all the important Mike dialogue from that on my first watch.

I was already suspicious of him from season 3, but FWWM should put a person on red alert.

What is Mike's motivation?  In the movie he's mainly chasing down Bob because Bob stole his "canned garmonbozia" from over the convenience store.  Why does he go to the trouble of giving the ring to Laura?  Is it just to thwart his future "feedings"?  Is this interplay between the two still happening in season 3?

How do you CAN garmonbozia?  They actually preserved and saved pain and suffering for later feedings?

I think Mike is keeping secrets from the watchers of the show.  But now I guess I need to rewatch all his scenes.

Again.

Everyone is going to be surprised as hell to find out Mike is really the Jolly Green Giant.

Everyone loves some niblets.

I think it'll be VERY interesting to see if Mike pans out 'good' or 'bad'. If good, then perhaps incontinuity has struck. If bad, well, a stroke of genius.

No, I think a "good" Mike would fit in with their seeming pragmatism, generally not wishing to bugger up the whole schlemeil, so they can keep on harvesting the old garmonbozia.

You know, not ultimately good as such, just trying to shut Bob and Mr C down.  Then, I guess, it's back to business as usual.

Could be completely wrong; for all I know it could be a complex double bluff and they want to help Cooper along just so his suffering will be greater when they pull the rug from under him.

Well that would make a certain sense. As would mocking up labelled cans of garmonbozia and whacking them on ebay. Crikey, if a Josie action figure sells, the limits are unclear!

Tangent: creamed corn is made by mashing corn. Nothing added.
